I bought 3 separate posters at the time of the POW clear out sale and all 3 were shipped in the same tube; one of the posters was a Soup Cans. From memory they restricted how many posters you could purchase but that restriction may not have been in place at the start of the sale. I have it in my head that it was put in place after the sale started.

The poster on his listing has the "whitest" edges I've seen on a Soup Cans poster.

I may well be wrong but the item for sale in the ebay link could be from the POW clear out sale; there is a date of 2017 on the receipt picture. Prior to the POW clear out sale there weren't any of these for sale for a long time but when the clear out sale started there were loads put up for sale and were being snapped up quickly and I think POW started to restrict how many you could purchase.

This was around 2015 I believe?  Again from my recollection at one point these were on POW'S site and you could buy as many as you could fill yer boots with.  I'm still kicking myself to this day not buying more when I should of.  That listing looks legit to me.

Let me be honest: I 'accidentaly' won an auction of a Banksy Soup Can Poster as in 'I forgot I had a maximum bid placed' and got some bills in the meantime that have to be paid 🥲 Poster doesn't come with great timing. It finally arrived today, well packaged and now I'm not 100% sure it's legit. Any help please in verifying?

I bought a Soup Can poster during POW’s “liquidation” sale. The confirmation mail that I received definitely did not have the POW skull logo.

Also it's dated 10/10/2017. These didn't go back online until 12/10/2017

The purchase confirmation in the sellers photo is correct, it should have the skull logo. It's not an email confirmation, it's the purchase confirmation from the POW website.

The purchase confirmation in the sellers photo is correct, it should have the skull logo. It's not an email confirmation, it's the purchase confirmation from the POW website.

The 12th was the first mention of the closing sale on this site: ref urbanartassociation.com/thread/147901/closing-sale-ends-31st-december

I bought several pieces that day and the order numbers began 8610XXXXX - orders beginning 8612XXXXX would certainly have been after the 12th October.

The member's print out of the confirmation page looks legit, except for the date being incorrect (too early) and the snippet of the order number that is visible being indicative of an order placed much later than that date.

There's also an example on this site (which I can't find right now) of an almost identical print out being used repeatedly to supposedly authenticate suspect items. 

To the member - post a heavily zoomed in image of the poster. Also check exact dimensions against the known correct dimensions. Your receipt looks suspect but the poster might be fine. Seems unlikely though.

Bought mine on October 12th as part of the closeout. The email order confirmation for the close out sale did not have the POW logo. USA purchaser here, so not sure if folks across the pond had different order confirms.

It was definitely the 12th when the sale started. They had the poster packs and individual soup cans. Soup cans hadn't been on the site for years before that date

I mean the very edge of the paper, to see if it is slightly yellow compared to the pure white of the rest of the poster. 
As I said though the date is wrong and as the other poster said the order number doesn't match up. Send pc an email of the confirmation, you might get lucky and have a reply direct from them

Also there is no decimal point on the royal mail franking label between 26 and 10. 100% fake provenance, so would assume the poster is too

If the auction you won is on Catawiki, it's 100% false, they have appeared a little lately, all the same with the same tubes and the same POW logo on the tube.
I sometimes saw one and the paper is even thinner than the original.

I've just checked one of mine from the end sale, and Terry is right about the decimal point. Mine is dated a few days earlier, but the point he makes is correct. Also the ink on the one you have seems too dark, the blue on mine is quite a bit paler.

Yea, it's a shame as genuine owners were taking care with all the provenance they had, only for it to be imitated by the fraudsters. The guys on catawiki are also either clueless or deliberately turn a blind eye.
