Yes, just. Generally speaking you should be able to fit a print/ poster with dimensions up to 82.3 x 61.7 in a 50 x 70 frame.

Banksy • Soup Cans Poster, by gm on Nov 3, 2006 15:09:30 GMT 1, Why's it called a 50x70 frame then?
I know I'm being extra thick (I blame the opiates) but if it's called 50x70 how come it doesn#t actually measure 50x70?

Hahahaha!! That's hilarious!! ;D ;D ;D
Okay, here's one. I know this is off-topic, but come on guys, this thread has already been answered, so let's laugh a little:
Here's a moral dilemma for you... With all your honor and dignity what would you do? This test only has one question, but it's a very important one.
You're in Florida...In Miami, to be exact. There is great chaos going on around you, caused by a hurricane and severe floods. There are huge masses of water all over you. You are a CNN photographer and you are in the middle of this great disaster. The situation is nearly hopeless. You're trying to shoot very impressive photos. There are houses and people floating around you, disappearing into the water. Nature is showing all its destructive power and is ripping everything away with it.
Suddenly you see a man in the water, he is fighting for his life, trying not to be taken away by the masses of water and mud. You move closer. Somehow the man looks familiar.
Suddenly you know who it is -- it's George W. Bush!
At the same time you notice that the raging waters are about to take him away, forever. You have two options: You can save the life of George W. Bush, or you can shoot a Pulitzer prize-winning photo, a unique photo displaying the death of one of the world's most powerful men.
And here's the question (please give an honest answer):
Would you select color film, or rather go with the simplicity of classic black and white?

Banksy • Soup Cans Poster, by pastiepie on Nov 4, 2006 3:18:46 GMT 1, I don't know if your trying to fool me there or not? I just figure that a 50x70 frame is designed for displaying a 50x70 image but stil have room from the matting to the edge of the frame. I might have time to go down to Ikea today and do some measuring.
"I currently have a 80x60 non-Banksy poster i want to get framed, does anyone know if you'd be able to fit one into the 50x70 frame?" Yes, just. Generally speaking you should be able to fit a print/ poster with dimensions up to 82.3 x 61.7 in a 50 x 70 frame.

Well if you find out let me know, cos I'm as confused as a really confused thing now
I've only got one pic (not a Banksy) up in a proper frame at the mo. The print measures 40x50. I bought a 40x50 frame and it fits perfectly with no room at the edges.
In my defence I'v e just spent all week full of Diazepam and DHC, with an average of 3 hours awake out of every 24, and I don't know WTFs going on for 90% of the time.

Im with you on this one gm ;D
If a frame says 50x70, thats the largest size picture that will fit the frame and thats takin into account the couple of mm that the frame overhangs the edge.
But Sayin that those white frames from Habitat that a few of you have bin getting (the ones with the clear glass around the edge) say 50x70 but you can get a Grannies print in thats much bigger ;D
