My 2 cents is this: Personally I think having a fake sheds a bad light on my entire collection.

However, were I "Joey Sofa-Painting" would I like a good quality copy on my wall versus a cheap museum poster? I would take the fake. It is clearly maked fake thus legally not a forgery. Still is copyright infringement though

Anyone recall the STOT21CPLANB "Not Banksy's"? They were more tongue in cheek fun with the RURAL art movement and all. But I have read some similar arguments about them from back in the day that I see here.
