Yeah sorry, I meant wrapped print in tube. Either it's a 2 part tube or they made a massive tube order error!! Touch too short....

A slight dent (almost nothing) in the COA...from COA but nothing on the print that I can see.
I think i'm just past the threshold by a few quid, so I'll be expecting a letter asking to pay that plus a handling charge:( Could be much worse though.

New collab Martin Whatson / Sandra Chevrier print, by honestcrooks on Aug 1, 2016 20:24:53 GMT 1, I haven't seen any of these framed up, so I thought I'd share my idea on how I'm gonna frame mine. Floating, on top of a background of Whatson's tags in a white frame. And below a quick photoshop mockup of how it will look like (or at least I hope it will)
If someone has any better ideas, feel free to shoot some this way!

I agree, especialy with the print being pretty big, would distract too much from the image, but i like the idea though!

New collab Martin Whatson / Sandra Chevrier print, by soupy on Aug 1, 2016 21:14:22 GMT 1, how did you get a MW tagged background like that!?
is there a framer that can do that or is that custom from MW? I've seen MW occasionally sell the tagged spacers.

Are you actually considering cutting the print off, taking the number and signatures, and stamp away?

What people have done in the past was white box frame it with tagged spacers/fillets. That's an option if you are thinking along them lines.

As you've asked, I would let the art do the talking. Simple box frame, without the tags. I think they distract from the artwork. But like the art, it is very much a question of personal taste.

Agree with this, for me the frame draws the eye away from the print. Like the print though.

New collab Martin Whatson / Sandra Chevrier print, by pingoo on Aug 1, 2016 21:52:45 GMT 1, Agree also, this framing reduce the contrast B&W/colour which is all the point with this piece.
Simple, thin black mat frame would be more appropriate IMO.

New collab Martin Whatson / Sandra Chevrier print, by honestcrooks on Aug 1, 2016 21:58:41 GMT 1, Whoa Thanks for all the replies guys! Really appreciate all your opinions! Well, I have to agree that it might be a bit heavy and distracting from the print. And also true, that this framing reduces the contrast between B&W/colour which indeed, is the point with this piece
I've had a previous Chevrier framed up this way and it came out pretty good, but it in fact isn't the same effect as it is with the Whatson x Chevrier, that's true.
So... If someone has his already framed up, I'm pretty eager to see the result!
Thanks again for the tips & hints, really appreciate it!
