Charles Krafft 🇺🇸 Ceramic Guns • China Hand Grenade, by corblimeylimey on Apr 6, 2007 18:41:02 GMT 1, Cheers for the link hadn't seen the first one before, I bought a hand grenade vase from Stolen Space last year, I really rate his stuff and ideally I'd like the vase to be flanked by 2 of his standard grenades, I'd like an uzi too.
Not too keen on the giclee prints though, it's worth spending that much extra to get the real thing IMO, mind you at $110 (about £60) quite cheap, signed too.

As much as I love Charles Krafft, not sure that a Giclee of one of his works really does him justice, he's a great painter and sculptor, I'd save the extra cash and go for one of his porcelain pieces.

Charles Krafft 🇺🇸 Ceramic Guns • China Hand Grenade, by krafft07 on Apr 6, 2007 19:48:16 GMT 1, StolenSpace used the Krafft 'God is our God' ceramic gun as their flyer when they opened.
When i bought that peice a few months ago i was told that he will be having a show in the uk later on this year.
I ordered a set of prints and a hand grenade, fromm icon, the prints arrived quite quickly from the states and are quite cool, although compared to the real thing dont do it justice
I had to pay £40 to royal mail as a customs charge, so that added to the total.
The grenade hasnt arrived yet but their is a lead time of 2 months while their made by Charles Krafft. That will probably be another £40 for the customs patrol.

Charles Krafft 🇺🇸 Ceramic Guns • China Hand Grenade, by sausageboonwee on Apr 6, 2007 19:54:52 GMT 1, I would agree, I think his porcelain pieces are stunning with the standard grenade being particularly strong. My children and their habits of destroying everything prevent me from owning such pieces.

I'd never heard of Charles Krafft before I asked on this forum about this piece of graffiti I photographed in Barcelona 2 years ago, first someone mentioned the gun on the Stolen Space flyer, then Numusic (now known as Nuart) came up with a lot more info (thanks again Nu).
The graffiti must have been inspired by Krafft.

He'll be having a solo show in London from Sept 11th, quite apt. Not sure it's public knowledge where, but I guess you can guess I'll be doing quite a large Laibach/NSK show with him before this. If you're a fan, it'll be well worth the trip. Hopefully we'll be editing a new film/dvd for the opening.

When I went into Stolen Space in February, they showed me a Grenade they had an accident with and they had attempted to glue it back together. It really does smash into quite a few pieces and I don't want to see mine looking like that, I do get a bit nervous when other people are too near it (it's on my mantlepiece)

I now what you mean about nerves, I've now stopped taking the Uzi out of it's display case, it's just too tempting to pull the trigger !

I just wish´d I could afford some of his more expensive item. I would love to own one of his AK-47...
