Banksy in Gaza β’ 2015 π΅πΈ, by Deleted on Mar 1, 2015 10:08:12 GMT 1, All over the world people are selling "their" banksy walls. And now a man who has nothing left except a piece of wall which was once part of his house is not selling the piece.
I guess the meaning of this piece and the strength the Palestinians gain from it is way more valuable than the money....

Banksy in Gaza β’ 2015 π΅πΈ, by Deleted on Mar 1, 2015 16:31:20 GMT 1, I keep going back to this piece. The tower is clearly a prison tower. Most of the riders are going in a counter-clock direction except the one on the far right (and maybe the girl with the *longish* arm); and his "chair" has only one rope/cable... Did Banks leave out the second one on purpose? Are those ropes/cables supposed to symbolize projectile trajectories? Did he mess up the stencil on that girls arm on purpose? Or is it intended to be something else?
FWIW- I always did poorly when deciphering poems (e.g. The Lovesong of J Alfred Proofrock)
Carry on.

Banksy in Gaza β’ 2015 π΅πΈ, by Deleted on Mar 1, 2015 16:59:41 GMT 1, I share your view about the video. Regarding the kitten, we'll have to disagree. In isolation, the image itself isn't great. But when the work is taken as a whole β to include the kitten's "ball of yarn", and the accompanying explanatory text about the artist's intent and his views on what interests people on the internet β I believe it's the strongest Gaza piece. I looked at the cat image again, and now I have a different interpretation. Sure it's a nice cat; but I think Banks was being sarcastic about the internet.
The cat has a rather large bow... To me, it represents wealth... The cat itself may be Israel... The ball of yarn is made of scrap metal... That ball of scrap represents Palestine (or its people)...
Carry on.

Why do you ( the forum ) asks questions about this cat as big as an ogre ( Internet social media facebook ) that he takes the place in the whole house. Banksy told it about that : people are most intersting about pets, cats etc., than by the Gaza situation. " you want an audience and millions of " likes " put a kitten on the social medias, it works ! This pic as The thinker for the placement, is the strongest I think. More than kids playing, the real message is in this Kitten ! And what an artwork, have a look as each piece, each colour and drawing is so well done : as Alice in a Doll house too little for her... Gaza ? Wonderland ? Fabulous message ! Such Irony ! Beautiful and kind piece for kids of Gaza too.

Banksy in Gaza β’ 2015 π΅πΈ, by Deleted on Mar 1, 2015 21:06:04 GMT 1, as long as Banksy and his stencils are getting people to be aware of the plight of the Palestinian people it's a good thing. They have been shunned for far too long.
No person has more right than any other.

It's the panopticon, if you wanna get into potential hyper-philosophical meanings behind the work.

Oops sorry dunno! I was just thinkin tin of Dr Plips exceptionally expensive and tasty vip baked beans, i got a mock up which costed a fortune and we had some friends up for an evening, one opened it, eat the contents peeled the label off(i can only assume in sexual frustration as he and the missus were a bit off that night) and threw it in the bin, i found it in the morning and was so distressed to see my dreams in tatters i picked it up and threw it out the back door, it hit the corner of the garage wall and dented easily, it looked all metally so assumed it was
