However, I have just had a message from Parcelforce to let me know there will be further charges.

It's the same with me; I've been waiting 10 days for a reply. The other user didn't respond to my question as to why they responded but I'm inclined to think that only those who messaged them very early have received replies.

I have pointed out that the eBay listing & shipping charges were for UPS Worldwide Express. & this was the reason for the $320 fees.

However, he has shipped them using standard USPS & not UPS at all.

Not a lot we can do if he chooses to ignore emails.

Can't you file a claim for a refund as the shipping cost is on the box? Or, you could put the package dimensions and weight into a shipping calculator and file a claim for the difference.

Received the relic but still no refund.

After paying an extra £95 to Parcelforce, I finally received the relic.

The shipping paid was $72 & it was sent by USPS & not UPS Worldwide as shown on eBay.

As emails to Arsham via eBay have been ignored, I guess there is no alternative other than to file a complaint with eBay & PayPal.

How disappointing...

I noticed on my package that in the sender details, there was an email from someone from Arsham's team. Maybe you can also try there for the refund, hopefully, they will be more reactive

After collecting the first 5, i will not be completing the series and i believe a lot of people feel this way, It is a shame that an artist will turn his back on his collectors by gouging them like this then ignoring the feed back, I hope it doesn't dampen his career but i wont be buying anymore.

Yep time will tell.
However with some museum shows already lined up I feel this will be another big year for him.

I say these are much trickier to made and ship all across the world. But at least he is trying (some artists like KAWS never bothered with Europe).
Up until this release it was pretty smooth.
This one should have been handled better (mind you perfect for the US folks).
I didn't go for it as those charges totally put me off.
I hope for those in the UK who bought with the super high postage that his team will eventually make it right.

I got in touch directly with the studio today & my refund was sorted within a couple of hours.

This was always more about the principle than the money.

But all's well that ends well.

I don't know how you came up with that, but okay(completely wrong but I'm not arguing about that).  I'm simply stating that all of the art message boards combined still make up a small percentage of collectors and its arrogant to think a few people who are pissed off about a shipping issue think they can affect an artists stock.  I doubt most people buying 10k+ pieces of work give a flying fuck what he does with his editions.  

And furthermore people just want to bitch about anything and everything.  If it's not the shipping charges, it's the crappy rolling, shitty website, bots, long wait time, etc. etc.  Its really getting sucky to have to listen to, so I'm complaining about people complaining. Ha.

for the record, nobody "predicted" what was going to be the next release until a photo surfaced with some polaroid cameras in the background and then arsham following that up with a photo of the packing materials.

it didn't take rocket science to figure it out after they appeared in a photo.
