I would have expected a release price below £500 and probably more in the £350-400 bracket (perhaps replace 'expect' with 'hope')

A have an OG on paper (book cover) and it's very nice - no drips though - have I got an inferior product

Sadly it came from the gallery, so unless they have a sudden change of heart I'll be well and truly priced out of this one. I was hoping it would be inline with the Daleast pricing

Selling the following to raise some $ for a long time .

Maya Hayuk mint SINSOS £120. This print is still available at artspace but at double the cost including their shipping and taxes, go make a check.



Maya Hayuk Pilar Project £280. This fold out print has some slight damage at one spot along one side (folding part) during shipping from Hayuk.





Also selling this 1xrun screenprint titled Norma from artist anthony cozzi that has a very light stain (probably knocked off a glass of water?) at the bottom of the print. I have 2 of these and the identical stains are at the same spot. Comes with COA, looking for £45 each.





These are priced pretty close to my own cost including shipping when I bought them. I'm based in Singapore, thanks for looking!

GBP 1000 for an edition of 99 is crazy. I do like her work but won't go for this one.

I can't see this insta-selling out at that price and run size, but I could be wrong. I think some people said the same thing about DALeast

Should of expected the price from PTA, all there release's are the same in terms of a shock on the prices. Too rich for me this one!!

I think Maya Hayuk has a better CV than 99% of the artists mentioned in this forum. Although to be honest, and now that I think about it, about 90% of the artist mentioned here pretty much have no CV whatsoever (hehe, no offense; and I won't name names).

I used to be surprised at how cheap MH was, the prices seem to be finally catching up.
Then again, it seems to me she is in a very prickly part of her career where everything can go either way. She needs to start working with bigger names gallerywise, or she might go bust. Pernonally, I think her talent will end up pushing through. I think and hope she will be BIG.

So this print might be a bargain that will end up costing 10 times more in 5 years, or it might be as some say, too ambitious.

I like ambition, sometimes.

.... and 1,000 USD price tag is a lot different than 1,000 GBP price tag.  pretty outrageous price point on such a large run (if true).  multiverses 2 sold relatively slowly and even multiverses 1 was sold by galleries for $1,000 in the aftermarket.

i'm a fan of maya, but not shelling out 1,000 GBP for a print of that run size.  like others have said... you are venturing closer to OG price territory.

Not trying to argue, but MV2 sold out in less than a day. I wouldn't call that slow considering they were significantly more expensive than any print prior.

And while I agree you're venturing in the direction of OG price territory, her pricing has gone up across the board. Just check out what allouche is asking for the diamond they've got hanging right now...
