Yeah, I know what you mean I think maybe they would have been better priced below £100, and then if they go well, up the price for future releases by that artist.

I am sure they have thought for a while and discussed with the artist what price, how many versions and what editions to do these at.

I am happy to read that people wish they were cheaper, that's fine - i wish most things that i buy were cheaper, however i don't think it's right to criticise their pricing policy.

And as for "going well", i think we've had a few discussion here before about the need, or lack of, for an edition to sell out. A print selling out doesn't make it good, make it successful or mean it's priced right - the pages of discussions about the mbw print release earlier this week highlight this.

I like the fact that this hasn't sold out - i like being able to decide whether i want it or not.

And as it goes, i really like this print, i love the unique nature of each one, and given the money and wall space i would consider getting 3 of them and hanging them as a series really highlighting their individuality.

Now if only they were a little bit cheaper...(insert ironic smilie here)

Yeah, but Maya Hayuk isn't exactly new or unknown, she's shown worldwide. Sure she's not "huge" but she's been around and $200 or so for a nice screenprint really isn't bad if you like it.

Beautiful print, but I must say that it is the case that MANY small print houses all over the world produce these sorts of geometric layered prints, many of which are strikingly similar.
It's a genre I'm into so I don't mind that there is more selection, but all I'm saying is that this is really nothing new.

Totally agree, it is very pleasing to the eye, but tons of places producing screen prints of a similar nature for £20, £30. Some great artwork out there - no need to rely on POW and their crazy prices for a nice picture....!

Anyone who follows Maya's work and fancies these probably won't feel that they are outrageously priced. FWIW I certainly like these a lot more than most of what they flog at POW.

I remember seeing Faile, Bast etc up on pow, well below 100 mark not so long ago really, to be honest personally these prints dont compete with some previous stuff released by POW , but i cant see many decent prints coming from them soon for a decent price , days have gone,,

Infairness when can you last remember a must have/WANT print (for under £150) getting released by any printers ?? All the good artists from our scene have bumped up. I think the only decent stuff getting released are the Denning/Crunchburgers. Aside from Banksy, the best thing POW have ever released were those Faile Bunny Girls for 20 nicker.

According to the seller it 'sold out in seconds'. Strange that it can still be bought from POW then! I think I'd rather get it a bit cheaper off Mr. Ebay though.
