Don't know about that. I purchased a couple hours after launch. A couple hours after that, they were sold out.
From an economic perspective, sounds like perfect pricing. Sold out too fast and they'd have underpriced. Failed to sell out and they'd be overpriced.

At this suspected $2K in the secondary market, with proper framing costs (this thing basically needs museum plexi), you are looking at $3K-$3.5K. At that price, you're an idiot if you aren't buying an original. There have been plenty of nice pieces for $5K on canvas, and others between $1,200-$2,500 on paper.
I think the release was priced appropriately, however, I do not think there is much meat left on the bone for someone to make any serious money in the aftermarket.
