Print was $1000. Extremely high for what it is in my opinion but i guess she has the demand so fair play. Record sleeve was $300

Sure! Shes done album covers before but not screen printed, signed, editioned and on paper. Sizewise bigger than X by a fair chunk. 100% counted.

I was turned off by the LP aspect as well, but then I thought about it - small editioned, signed, 6-color screen print by Maya, that folds out to an awesome shape, for $300?

Hell yes.

Only challenge is that it'll be a little harder to frame than my Very X, but overall this was the easiest 'yes' for me this year by far. Anyone caught up on the LP factor is missing out.

Putting aside the fact that its a record cover. My problem with it and why I didn’t buy it is that it looks cropped. Its a section from the print proper and looks like it is. I was also put off by the marketing spin about the folds adding to the overall composition.
If I had $300 to spare I might have bought it as a novelty (as I did the Beejoir record cover which lives in amongst the other vinyl) but doubt I’d have framed it.
That said, would love to be proved wrong and look forward to seeing some of them framed up.

For me the LP size when framed will be exactly the same as an orignal diamond piece I have hanging (24'' x 24'')... Could be a match made in heaven. Hope so.

If you hadn't seen the print image then you would have accepted the LP for what it is, a very interesting alternative to the norm. It will flatten out perfectly and once framed, it will do nothing but justice to her work. Congrats to those who managed to score.

I agree with that. I don't mind it though, as I tend to like natural and straight lines together.

The other thing that shares natural painted and straight edges from Maya? The Heavy Wing original piece that was part of this same release.



And will be gracing my wall after it's done being shown in Miami.

Couldn't be more excited to have my first Maya OG on the way. 

(I may have gotten carried away this release . BTW, I'll soon be selling some works to offset this: Retna, Eine, maybe a few others. PM if interested.)

A couple moved here at bout $850-950. Now that this dude on the bay is shooting for the moon, I doubt you'll see them back down at the sub $1K mark now.

"In late august I was commissioned to make a screen print of a work of Maya Hayuk.
Maya came to cologne for her solo show “ALLES KLAR” at the gallery “Die Kunstagentin”. So I had the pleasure to meet her in person and to work with her.

We spent three super-intense and crazy long days in my studio to come up with a five-colored screen print. Maya painted the films for the screens by hand and spray painted each and every print individually. I used translucent and fluorescent colors that produce a large variety of bright shades.

The edition by the name “MULTIVERSES” was released on the after show party at the “ARTY FARTY Artspace & Bar”. This fine ass screen print edition is limited to 50 pcs and available at ARTY FARTY. You need to see the gigantic mural Maya painted there as well. It’s AWESOME."

In addition to this, seems there was a private sale logged on Expresso beans, a Multiverses was just sold @ $1250.
