Art for Kids Room, by Horatio Nelson on May 21, 2020 19:37:41 GMT 1, We went for this for our daughter’s room - seemed like a no brainer for a signed, editioned print by instantly recognisable artist.

Stuck a Hodgkin “Ice” up in our son’s room.
We also got one of these posters a while back, but can’t seem to find it anymore:

If BANKSY does release his canvas as a print to folks for charity as someone just speculated, that would be the centerpiece.

Art for Kids Room, by Someones Brain on Jun 28, 2020 23:29:38 GMT 1, In my opinion art for a babies'/kid's room should be friendly, colorful, easy to frame (standard measures), with a positive and/or supportive message and a reasonable price tag. For me these parameters lead to the art prints (nor the gigposters/concert posters) of Jay Ryan (The Birdmachine) who was mentioned before in this thread.

I am also toying with a piece by Bortusk Leer...though you do have to be slightly selective. This probably wouldn’t get approved by the wall police/wife for example.

Given the option, I would go for a cheerful original by Bortusk Leer.
__________
One issue with the Eyesaw giclée is that it's derivative of a recognised style by Sage Vaughn*: kaleidoscope of butterflies in formation; shadowing or fading of the more distant butterflies; plain background in white or off-white; conspicuous use of drips.

Yes, indeed, although I'm not sure if I understand the point.
It may be worth mentioning that the original Eyesaw canvas (which his giclées are based on) was created circa 2015.

Xenz uses them as well as everyone else mentioned. We are in full agreement regarding the mere use of butterflies in art.

Art for Kids Room, by met on Jul 1, 2020 5:26:06 GMT 1, Hello folks, My brother is gonna have a baby later next spring and he asked me to help him find some affordable works of art that are different from the classic unicorns & other cheesy baby stuff. Any ideas? I thought of Parra of course, there's some open editions that are easy to grab, otherwise I thought of Gary Taxali, Keith Haring... Any help will be appreciated. What's in your babies room? Thank you! [...]
ben eine (awaits peanut gallery comments), space invader, eelus, grafter, lora zombie, stik, dran, martin whatson, banksy girl with balloon, pez hop scotch, keith haring, roy lichtenstein, warhol, POSE, KAWS, etc Child Friendly Art Print Suggestions - 36 postsurbanartassociation.com/thread/151952/child-friendly-art-print-suggestions?page=1Kid Friendly - 15 postsurbanartassociation.com/thread/147401/kid-friendlyArt ideas for Toddlers room - 36 postsurbanartassociation.com/thread/98867/art-ideas-toddlers-room?page=1Art for the babies room - 205 postsurbanartassociation.com/thread/120455/art-babies-room?page=1
Plenty of fine suggestions, in both this thread and the others listed.
There is also scope for being more ambitious with the type of art we expose small humans to.
How about a picture that allows them, not just to look, but to dream? An image so rich that they continue discovering new features in wonderment, with each passing year. And keep reinterpreting (even well into adulthood) the details they're already familiar with.
My vote is for a large poster of The Garden of Earthly Delights. Its creator, Hieronymus Bosch, also revolutionised housework in the 15th century by inventing the washing machine and the freestanding microwave (model HMT75G451B).
