Had the frame made with a split baton hanging device so I can swap it with the Riley which sits opposite..

I finally decided to go for one of the cheaper single spot woodcuts Picrotoxin from Manifold Editions. Really nice in the flesh. Hope to get MFM to frame it real soon.

Just got my Vipera Lebetina back from John Jones - very pleased with the result! ;D

By misunderstanding the framer framed my Lana B with the glass touching the print.
Now I consider to reframe it.
What do you think ?

Mace- unless it is in sunlight you should be fine for a few years but if you had asked them to leave space get them to re-do it.

I was always under the impression that glass touching the print was very bad due to the possibility of condensation and the print sticking to the glass, I would definitely have it changed if I am correct.

Not sure if a print touching the glass is good or bad, but if you keep any framed work in an enviroment where condensation is a possibility it will definately be bad touching the glass or not (actually in that sort of enviroment there would be a much greater chance of condensation forming in a framed piece if the print was NOT touching the glass)

I can only speak for myself and I would never do it, you must leave an air gap between the glass and the print. Somebody posted on here about being at Graham Bignall's the paper restorer and he was dealing with a number of prints that were stuck to the glass/perspex. Take it back!!

Same here the black versions caught my eye, I just clocked 'Till death do us part' almost Warholian colour ways of the dead I guess they are new too ?


Back up on the framing take it back tell him that he shouldnt have framed it in contact with the glass (double check everything is archival while your at it).
Way back up to Redfred you framed without UV protection ? Your print probably will fade in time.

Definitely agree about the endless supply but its always been that way, personally very pleased I bought a Lana as it looks great on the wall but I honestly cant explain why, its so easy with a Nola or S&S because its all about the image but this is totally different!!
