Definitely send it back, probably looks worse in the flesh as imperfections are difficult to photograph, saying that it may be worth asking their permission to try "ironing" and if it doesnt work they would still replace it, just a thought!

I finished the challenge and still no clue about the print. Will see!
It was really fun and such at a perfect moment in my life, gave me the opportunity to be on my own to think.

Numbers update - HK now closed, 95 finished the spot challenge.

People left - 15 with 10 stamps, 10 with 9 stamps, 7 with 8 stamps.

Maximum number possible to finish is 127

Totally disillusioned with the Hirst spot thing, I have been a keen admirer of his work for a number of years now, but I didn't realise just how out of control the whole spot marketing machine has got, It's gone a bit like Dr Zeus with his star machine, if it's got a surface, we can put spot's on it.

This has been brought home to me after a browse through Other Criteria's website for Hirst, just couldn't believe the amount of tat you can buy with spots, from T-towels, purses and I'm sure if you applied for a commission and had the money you could take in you're guinea pig for the spot treatment,
so I think it is time for me to now sell the two Hirst pieces I own,
Your's disillusioned.....

But those items have been released to promote his recent Gagosian retrospective and, I guess, forthcoming Tate show.
No different really to the tons of other merchandise released at gallery gift shops.
It's cheap tat... but at least it IS cheap, and not priced as if it's fine art.

You are best to contact Other Criteria and Manifold something as they are releasing new editions hourly it seems....

I do not think you will find any shortage on new releases of 500 editions.

Thanks mate - delighted to have done it, congrats yourself! Pity we didn't cross paths..Turned out to be trickier than I expected but a fantastic experience overall

That dedication stressed me out completely cos I just assumed he had a generic "Well Done" scrawl lined up for us all and had no idea that we'd have to come up with something clever ourselves ;D...scribbled something down in a panic, will post pics when I get it! What about yourself? Good trip?

Its been floated with about 30mm to the frame edge, went for anti-reflective glass but without UV as when they were compared side to side the UV/Anti-Reflection had a slight blue tinge, it never sees bright light anyway so managed to save a few quid!!
