Certainly one for the future
When is 100artworks counted as a gallery.. Geordie Flipper from hexham.

I dunno where i got the idea i guess if your not happy you could take up an official complaint with banksy. and im in constant contact with the man heres an email i received from him 4 days ago,
hey mate so i was hoping we'd get you down the tunnel. you and me were the only ones up in there before it started afterall. so it sounds like security didn't quite get it, and i'd like to say thats unusual. pass on my apologies to your man there. good news is we appear to have a designated graffiti area (not a hoax one) in the heart of london for a few months. so your man can go back down when he fancies.
all the best mate b
And getting a word out of that man is an achievement its self

So am I Bobby but come on give the lad a break. I know nothing about him but it looks like he's giving it a bloody good go.
I say good on him for getting out there and doing it.
If you're going to be influenced it might as well be by the best.

I agree. He's out there doing it.
It's just the size/price of these canvases is ridiculous. I think it is just gonna damage him in everyone's eyes because it will put a lot of people off coming back when he next does some work.
Whoever instructed him to sell at this price should find a corner and have a quiet word with themselves.

Hey Cartrain, I wouldn't bother too much about what people on here say just get on with what you do.

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by savilerogue on May 16, 2008 19:40:36 GMT 1, This thread exemplifies one the major problems the internet throws up: Artists getting ahead of themselves.
It's the same with music - a band thinks that because they've got 5000 MySpace friends that somehow they're ready to be putting their music out there.
Cartrain should go back to the drawing board and emerge when he's (a) got some decent art and (b) is selling it at a realistic price.

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by icky on May 16, 2008 20:42:47 GMT 1, I'm not very fond of your stencils, Cartrain, especially since you're always putting them up next to Banksys and partly ruins them imo. And I think it's a little early to have your work up for sale at that price.
But the mail from Banksy just proves I'm a boring old art fart, into it for all the wrong reasons. Haha, the jokes on me!
Take care Cartrain, but please report the next serious crime you witness.

Cartrain π¬π§ Tate Gallery β’ Damien Hirst β’ Gilbert & George, by dogant on May 16, 2008 22:33:14 GMT 1, Interesting viewpoint - I am not a big fan in Cartrain's latest work - it not saying a fat lot and the finish does not look that great.
What I find more interesting is Cartrain coming back to the forum as a new member - although he was a happy member with many posts only a few months back.
If you wanted a clean break - why did you not come back with another tag and another style in your art?
Whats changed?
