Banksy • Crude Oils Postcard Set

Hi thanks for checkin out this thread.
If any of you have an intact Crude Oils postcard set still in their wrapper could you post a pic for me please?
I have just bought a set for £7 quid which i think is a bargain, i thought they might be fake/copies but they seem brilliant quality and intact in a plastic sleeve ;D
I am delighted with my purchase nomatter, but would just like to know if they are original or not, cheers, dyl4n

Yep, I bought a pack for £20 a few months ago, £7 must be close to original cost.

Yeah, just a cellophane wrapper like an envelope with a stick down flap.

im sure mine are completely sealed in cellophane, no stick down side otherwise i think i may have opened them.

I have 2 packs,both packed differently. 1 in an envelope type thing,folded then sealed. The other is shrink wrapped. I've always had my doubts about 1 of them.

Ha ha poop! Looks like mine are knock off. Still not particularly arsed, they just postcards and they are amazing quality reproductions, however if I'd paid any more than I did (had a look, I only paid £13), I'd be a bit miffed....

Mine are from POW, shrinkwrapped, no envelope type thing. I would have thought it would be too much hassle to fake something that goes for not *too* much money?

Would i see a value increase in a year??

the whole thing has gone mad. They were £5 a pack I think, and until recently were available from POW.

I think that £60 is madness for 10 postcards that must have been pretty mass produced, but then again I'm lucky in that I have one pack (a freebie as well!)

I can't understand how EVERYTHING banksy has gone mental. I can understand the prints of course, but can't totally understand the stickers, greenpeace posters, books etc.

I do find it a tad fustrating that I do something that is an art form (and receive a huge amount of stick over it), and someone sells a sticker/Kate moss postcard for 5 times what I sell a photo for, or a pack of postcards for 10 times. Anyone who comes on my tour on sunday will get the kate moss reference. oh well, I wonder how the French say c'est la vie. ;D

If you look at it as the Cude Oils images are not avaiable as prints but only the postcards I think its easier to grasp. $10 a piece still isnt too bad- if you are just entering the Banksy world I think its a nice purchase to see some work.

My g/f used to hate all my Banksy pics... I have to have them hanging on the wall in my computer room as she won't allow them in the rest of the house. However, EVERY SINGLE girly mag she reads has had an article in it about the new Banksy show and how Bradgolina, Keanu, Jude Law, McCaulay Culkin etc have been to see this MAD artist from Bristol!

I could never fgorce myself to sell any Banksy... even the Soup Can I have is growing on me more and more! But these prices are really scarey...

... I've always wanted a Caterham for track days but couldn't ever afford it... now I have one hanging on my walls in the form of Banksy prints... Shame I love the prints...

... although I could phtocopy the images, hang them and sell up !! lol j/k
