Finally finished my lion stencil. This has taken quite a few weeks to cut all 10 layers.
2x3ft canvas.

I might diamond dust the background. I have ordered some and will do a test first to see how it might look.

Aza honestly I love seeing your work and I think diamond dust would just set it off. Can I ask place you got the diamond dust from? I have more appreciation for someone that takes the time to cut stencils and your work is very clean. You seemed to have overspray mastered so would be interested to know what cans you use if you don't mind? MTN gold?

I can't find a lot of information about diamond dust, but I have ordered some stuff from the USA made by Floracraft.
It hasn't arrived yet, but when it does I'll do some trials with it, and post them here.
I spent so long on this stencil that I am a bit wary about 'ruining' it.

I used MTN 94 paints on this one

Of the 10 stencils, the first 5 didn't survive spraying as they were too delicate. I'll do another canvas using just the 5 lightest stencils and see how that turns out.

10 layers => do you have a spraycan for each color or do you used coats of grey & white.

Funny how some prefer to start with white and finish with black...  others do the contrary, they start with black and finish with white -> so what made you decide to black to white ?

Thanks. I used seperate spray cans for each layer/shade of grey.
The black background was just determined from the source photo

My son tells me it's the best.

The MTN94 is really good and it smells nice
Probably is the best paint out of the ones I've tried so far, and I think the grey shades are better than the Molotow ones that I also tried.

I was about to order some Montana Gold. Have you used that and prefer MTN?

Yeah tried that one too.
To be honest there is not a massive difference between all these premium brands, but MTN so far has never had a can get clogged. That could just be luck though.
I would just go for the brand that has the colours you like
