Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by Opie on Feb 8, 2015 15:48:03 GMT 1, Well said Iamzero!!
Some people just don't seem to understand how tricky stencil work is. I used to think it was easy (before I had picked up a blade) so I decided to do it - and do it better than Banksy (he was my first introduction to stencils) - my god I was wrong lol. I hadn't taken into account the ideas of islands and bridges, over and under spray, markers, layers etc. It IS an art form in itself.
Now, someone post done new work!!!!! (I will soon - once work gets back to normal)

Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by NN on Feb 8, 2015 19:18:35 GMT 1, Art itself is weird in a way if you try to distinct it between the creative aspect of a work & craftsmanship. While stencils involve both, most stencils I see are more of a craftsmanship to me - it is really strange to me when people consider themselves as artists and yet don't possess the ability to draw/create something from their imagination. Using reference yes - making a collage of existing material, yeah kinda as still something new is created, using a preexisting pic from someone else and turning it into several layers with bridges, meh, I don't really know --> no offense, it is just a personal taste. I highly value the technical aspect of stencils.
I made this thing here a few days ago. Sorry for the bad quality of the pics - also I made it greyscale so it didnt disturb the viewer to much haha Making a pixel portrait of somebody is kinda the creative aspect of it, as it is created from scratch, I had a reference but not more. Setting the right colours, and colouring the wooden blocks, craftsmanship.

Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by Deleted on Feb 8, 2015 20:14:14 GMT 1, I realize I am far from calling myself an artist. I do believe, however, that sometimes the vision is more important than the execution... Having said that, in this *work* I am obviously ripping off the king of street art... and borrowing from another (very little myopic vision)... Feel free to trash it! :-)

A lovely and sexy Jamaรฏcan girl, came often to visit me ( but I was shy and I did not dare to came ot her party ) , she made this drawing at the end of this little bookshit..

Just to tell you, Sir, that there is no age, no time, no shit, no art, nothing, but everything for creativity.. You have just to take a pen or a can, a sheeet or a wall, a bit of brain and meaning, and let your hand go... Gesture, imposture, instant, spot, location, 2 beers or not 2 beers... Then, all is bizness, friends, ( wanted to show or not wanted to show your artworks ) , fashion, talent, clever or not clever, violence or poetry, the human race, you see.. It is as on youporn, sometimes the most exciting things are in Amateurs " videos...I repeat, sometimes. Did I say never ? I am not a teacher, anyway, I try to do my best, I m gonna to prepare my dry pack soup and ... sorry to have been pretentiousness my friends, It happens sometimes, that you want to show your word and you digress... in the worst style and displaced.
