Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by iamzero on Jan 11, 2015 11:55:00 GMT 1, Obviously the stuff I'm stencilling at the minutes isn't generally the thing that people on an art forum like this would usually part with cash for. But looking for advice if I'm to set up a big cartel or something similar, what would be a realistic pricing for things? Any advice positive or negative.

I was about to ask, with your stencil skills, why aren't you selling your work? You've clearly got the skill to match and exceed many commercially successful stencil artists.

Price is at what you think it's worth, not what you think people will buy it for.

I would also make each stencil a limited edition as that would increase perceived value.
I think the main thing would be how you get your store seen by people, and again your prices should be also be considered based on who will be visitng your site.

Still learning and gaining confidence by stencilling stuff I think will sell in the marketplace before I choose to inflict my inner Whatson/ Kuntsrasen on the forum. I know the Weller And OCS group have seen my recent stuff and response has been great and have a friend with a huge Liam Gallagher connection so his mug is up for a stencil I reckon. Great challenge doing this stuff though.

It represents what this forum was originally meant to be, helpful, informative with a great sense of community. Just read the last 2 pages where guys are helping each other with what exact knife to use, what paint and other supplies to buy and building each other up with positivity.

Show us Your own Artwork ๐จ, by Aza on Jan 11, 2015 15:18:25 GMT 1, Just laminated a piece to try, and wow it is definitely the way forward!
1) Cuts super clean lines with no fluffy bits I could get with the card. 2) Is much stronger so will be a great help with intricate pieces. 3) Is far more re-useable. 4) The laminate swivels around on the cutting mat really nicely.
Much much better!
