Might be worth check out due to the fact they are being sold through Christies and these are more urban paintings they might go for less!!!!

have i lost the plot or are the estimates for the neate pieces very low? admittedly they're not the nicest street pieces i've seen but at that price they're cheaper than his prints...

His street pieces don't fetch as much as his gallery pieces or prints, which i never understood. I don't know if its due to the fact that the galleries/buyers are annoyed by the fact the he gave allot of these painting away for "free", or there is a concern about forgery and provenance.

The good thing about a auction like Christie's is that that's all now proven and it's probably going for less due to it not being a 'trendy' east end gallery.

Of course the other thing is it's an auction so will be interesting to see where it goes!

more likely its because the street pieces are much more "unstable" in terms of decaying/rotting away etc
