Banksy bouncer rats inspired by the Young Ones?, by davidsmith on Dec 30, 2009 18:50:06 GMT 1, Went on a nostalgia trip while bored over Christmas and watched a few Young Ones episodes to pass the time and noticed a familiar sight, what looked like the Banksy doorway/red carpet rats.
The resemblance is quite uncanny so I stuck the two images side by side (behind the two rats is a disco).
It is worth watching the clip (episode 1 series 1, time stamp on the video), actually its worth watching the whole series but for now the clip is all I am discussing, although I really do love The Young Ones!
Rats appeared frequently in the episodes in various guises and this is just one of them. Can't say I remember a gangsta rat or one holding a placard though.
Me and B are roughly the same age so it is quite possible he may be a fan of The Young Ones.... Hmmmmm?
Anyway I thought it quite amusing so thought I'd share it with you.
