2 things, by pezlow on Jan 8, 2007 10:05:50 GMT 1, I've used auctionsniper fairly regularly - I find it works well and I haven't had any failed bids yet. I did try hammersnipe a little while ago but didn't like it as much as auctionsniper.
Watch out because you sometimes get caught out by Ebay minimum bid increments. I tried to snipe a piece a few months back where my maximum bid was £520. When I saw the auction had ended with the winning bid being £511 I couldn't understand why I wasn't listed as the winning bidder. Then I logged on to auctionsniper and all became clear - the ebay bid increments had increased to £10 so ebay had rejected my snipe bid of £520. With 8 seconds left before the end of the auction there was nothing I could do to increase it.
I guess that is just one of the risks you take by using sniping software though.

2 things, by Run Pig Run on Jan 8, 2007 17:36:31 GMT 1, I just open two windows and type in my max bid on one window and watch, wait and refresh till the last few seconds on the other window then just press confirm bid on the first window. always worked for me and it's free.

I have ebay blocked at work as well, have you tried using www.proxy.org? Someone told me about it on here and it works for me
