Using other peoples pics on Ebay?, by lesroy on Aug 23, 2006 9:10:28 GMT 1, Hey guys 'n' gals,
Is it against any rules or copyright to use other peoples pictures of stuff on eBay?
For example, if someone on here sold me a Banksy via eBay. When I got it I decided to sell it again but instead of using a new photo (taken by me) I use the original photo that you posted on eBay to sell the print in the first place??
Reason is Ive had some goon telling me they are gonna sue etc as im breaking the rules.

Using other peoples pics on Ebay?, by HowAboutNo on Aug 23, 2006 18:52:16 GMT 1, I'd have to say that if you are simply reselling one and the same print as you bought, then thats fine to reuse the picture - cos it will have same numbers etc etc.
But if like the recent policeaware thing, where the guy just said his "bluetooth didnt work", where two seperately numbered pieces are listed back to back - then it just add's to the confusion and people worrying about is it real/is it fake.
