The Next Big Thing, by stuey09 on Feb 21, 2007 15:55:49 GMT 1, Opus are still advertising it at £200 on their site. But no "add to cart button" - I reckon they have sold out as well (or are holding a couple back)
Possibly, but I would give them a call if you are interested. They're quite good.

The Next Big Thing, by HowAboutNo on Feb 21, 2007 16:41:35 GMT 1, It does surprise me that there seems to be so little interest in some corners of this site, like the Sreet Art section, this is what it's all about. I posted some pics of graffiti in November that I took in Barcelona nearly 2 years ago, and it's only had 22 hits. banksyforum.proboards82.com/index.cgi?board=streetartgallery&action=display&thread=1164742249I have great admiration for some members particularly HowAboutNo, Nuart (formally known as Numusic) and Martin but there are others, who are really interested in where all this is coming from and spend time posting pics. It's not all about prints, but it seems there's too many people here only interested in prints for profit. If you're really interested in this kind of stuff you must visit HowAboutNo's Flickr photos www.flickr.com/photos/howaboutno/
I'm touched CBL ;D Thanks loads for vote of confidence and stamp of approval.
For me, it's about stuff from the street that translates into a good print. Most of the prints I own have a direct link to something that I have seen on a wall prior to that and liked it, and was then really pleased to see a print come from it that I liked too.
I sort of run out of things to post when Mr B stopped putting new pieces up around Shoreditch/Hackney - as it had been a fairly constant stream of new bits.
All I will say is that since he has been quieter on the street in the UK, it has defo caused a lot of people now doing street art to raise their game. And am loving every minute of it! The quality of stuff thats out there goes above and beyond loads of stuff Banksy has done.
So yeah! Go check my Flickr, and leave lots of comments, good or bad I dont care!!

The Next Big Thing, by sausageboonwee on Feb 21, 2007 18:57:57 GMT 1, I don't think Adam Neate is currently well represented. His prints are poor and his real art is too hard to get hold of and slightly overpriced though it does sell.

The Next Big Thing, by ricosg11 on Feb 22, 2007 0:24:45 GMT 1, have you seen the neate prints in person? The photos I was sent look amazing. Suppoosedly the framer who framed them for the gallery was trying to pick them up from the edge of the cardboard as opposed to the edge of the paper.

Isn't not being well-represented part of potentially being the next big thing? His prints are amazing! I heard through the grapevine people were calling from all over the world to purchase them. And I bet almost every canvas was sold from the Elm Lesters exhibition. It may be 'overpriced' for you and I, but you said it yourself - they are selling.

What do you think about HUTCH and his prints? There is a listing on ebay for one of his prints that has now sold out, I think this guy has good potential (my opinion), like the rollergirl series - definitely one for the boys...

The Next Big Thing, by Pure Evil on Feb 25, 2007 11:38:45 GMT 1, I went to see the new Adam Neates at the Elms Lester show and was blown away by the new 2D / 3D works in the perspex frames... they look awesome... and the photographic prints on Hannemuhle paper were done really really well, they looked really nice....Im stoked he sold out of all of them that means he has more money for paint and trips to Brazil...
nice one Adam...
i didnt check out the prices though..
One thing I noticed that gave me the willies was that at Santas Ghetto for the Micallef and Banksy sale mornings there was a family of 5 who came to both sales , bought one each and tried to come back again to buy more... they even sent their son back on his own to get another one and he got turned away...
Thats just GREED and that sucks.

I think he will have a very good year & i am sure the show at Laz's will help boost his profile in the same way it will with faile. No doubt all of his signed work will vanish from POW in the next few months. If you have any of paul's work you will understand this post.If not get a piece & enjoy. Brut.

The Next Big Thing, by corblimeylimey on Feb 26, 2007 2:47:09 GMT 1, I must say what I've seen of Adam Neate looks pretty damn good, but I've only seen pics on the web, I bet it looks amazing in the flesh.
Even the prints are out of my price range though, and I don't like giclee prints at the best of times, let alone for £650, if I had the money I'd buy an original. How much do they go for?

The Next Big Thing, by afwi on Feb 26, 2007 11:13:56 GMT 1, Zevs is a great street artist, no doubt about it. Impact is a good print as it tells a bit who he is, it's a kind of metaphor of his alias. Would you say that Mode 2 is not a great artist because his prints did not sell as fast as others? (Stolen Kisses & Touch and Feels have only recently sold out, a fews days ago).
