Proper Provenance for Prints, by corblimeylimey on Feb 23, 2007 12:51:42 GMT 1, The only way to fake a screenprint very well would be to make another screenprint, anything else (litho or ink jet) really won't cut it. The paper and the stamp would be other issues, but if you've got a screenprinting setup I would'nt have thought it would be difficult at all, particularly on the simple one colour designs or GWB or Rats simple two colour designs.

Proper Provenance for Prints, by pw on Feb 23, 2007 15:51:29 GMT 1, Re. the statement below, last year I was told by Steph that POW don't keep their database up to date and have no intention of doing so as it would be too much hassle and possibly open a proverbial can of worms. I bought a print from Santas Ghetto 2005. The print is registered to Santas Ghetto since they were not taking names in the shop. I tried to get them to change the name the print was registered in to my own name but it was a no-goer.
"The POW order confirmation number is the number that determines who owns what. When prints are brought/sold the owner details can be changed at POW so if the new owner decides to sell again they''re details are with POW... I'm assuming POW uses a spreadsheet or database to hold print information."
