A shame, as I share your opinion about CWS and about the war, even though I am a Shepard Fairey fanboy(one that has his work hanging next to works by Micallef, Banksy, Dolk, Terry Winters, and Titi Freak) and an American conservative.
Btw, just a tip. Bush is not a conservative.

Think you may find this interesting, by stuey09 on Mar 11, 2007 10:41:26 GMT 1, I'm a bit uncomfortable when it comes to us Brits slagging off Bush. It's one thing to criticise a madman (and Bush evidently is one), but we're governed by a person who is supposedly sane and rational, and yet was prepared to follow Bush into both Iraq and Afghanistan. So I'm not sure we're any better than the Yanks when it comes to leaders.

Think you may find this interesting, by mose on Mar 11, 2007 15:16:59 GMT 1, Eh? What is he then - a goddamn liberal?
IMO, a unique brand of madman.
many don't see the distinction. conservative, religious conservative, neo-conservative, etc. are not the same thing.
Since he has been in office, Bush has infringed on personal liberties, eroded states' rights, and brutalized the concept of national sovereignty, all while building the largest federal government he could.
Those are not the actions of a conservative.
Here is an example of what I have a problem. This is me, "I am a dead sexy rockstar with a 15" c**k who has snorted coke with Kate off of an original Kate by Banksy."
Now, do you believe that? of course not, my c**k is only 12", 15" would be ludicrous and everyone should have picked up on that. So, why does anyone take Bush's "I am a conservative" on face value with the mountain of evidence to the contrary? Unfortunately, he has co-opted the conservative "brand" and the media + the masses have let him get away with it. Same way the Republicans successfully turned 'liberal' into a dirty word years ago.

Think you may find this interesting, by pastiepie on Mar 12, 2007 0:32:10 GMT 1, I'm sorry that my post was too strongly worded for you mose.
Not everyone here is from the UK or US and I think you'll find that almost no-one from here uses expresso beans glorified excel spreadsheet whereas I know a lot of obey fans do. It's not like I actually remarked on the quality of Shepard Fairey's work, and as a Banksy fan am used to rash generalised statements from the mass media about being a degenerate vandal.
in 2001 79.8% of Americans were actively involved with the Christian faith, a majority of people voted Bush into power. So it's fair to assume that the people who voted Bush into power are the same offended by images of "our saviour"

1. expressobeans originated as a website to track the art of Jim Pollock, most famous for his Phish concert posters. The crossover between the site's population and Obey Giant fandom is not very big. Besides, if you read the thread over there you would realize that it was a single person popping off, with most others disagreeing with his opinion.
Should you judge an artist's entire fanbase, an entire country, etc. by the opinion of one nameless asshole on a concert poster website?
2. Your assumptions with regard to religion, CWS, and George Bush's electoral wins are asinine. Nice extrapolation based on one nameless asshole's ranting.
