**THE GREAT BANKSY GIVEAWAY!!**, by phat planet on Apr 5, 2007 7:41:18 GMT 1, its has come to my attention that just last month a very famous street gallery/shop in both Sydney and Melbourne Australia sold multiple ( I believe 4 in total) of BANKSY's "HMV" unsigned and POW stamped framed prints for the price of A$545 each a little less than 200 Pounds sterling..
They were on sale for about 50 secs and according to sales staff.. they had not even hung them when they were sold to customers...
On reflection they thought they probably could of charged a little more for them??
Any one else had such amazing luck accross the world
Will some body stumble opon a signed Wetern Super Mare at a garage sale in Berlin?
Anybody else found some "well priced" prints of late they wish to share??

**THE GREAT BANKSY GIVEAWAY!!**, by lesroy on Apr 5, 2007 8:38:51 GMT 1, I cannot find the post but here is a story from December for you this year...
Art shop in London selling allsorts of art work... on one of the walls, on display, was an original Banksy canvas, one of the ones with stars in a semi circle (i think).
Anyway, this had been a gift to the shop owner from Banksy himself. So during the Christmas rush, the store was full of Christmas Temporary staff when a bloke (not Lesroy ) strolled in and said to the new member of staff (allegedly )....
"Hello mate, how much is that small canvas?"
"Oh, that one, that's £155 Sir"
"Excellent, seems very reasonable... I'll take it"
Owner comes back to find his pride and joy £35k canvas and Banksy Original GONE!
(never mind, atleast he's still officially £155 up) j/k

**THE GREAT BANKSY GIVEAWAY!!**, by pastiepie on Apr 5, 2007 15:12:28 GMT 1, I think you need to sort out your facts before you go posting absurd remarks. They did have 4 framed unsigned HMV's for $525 which the had on show for 2weeks and only just sold out Thursday morning. So slightly longer than 50 seconds. Also they were framed and on show. The reason they were so cheap is because they were damaged in the post from POW and are all creased.

Unlimited I should think
Normally produced until demand dries up so quite possibly now running into the tens of thousands.
They are thin shiny posters so don't expect too much.
