What's the deal with registering prints with POW?, by ohmygosh on May 17, 2007 22:03:00 GMT 1, POW dont register prints to anyone other than the original buyer as far as im aware.
If you buy from ebay you should get a confirmation e-mail from the original registered owner but thats about it. Maybe you can email POW the original owners details and they will confirm it to you? Never done it myself..

They are also happy to email the registered owner with an email to the effect of " Dear XXX This is to confirm that you are the registered owner of print YYYY number ZZZ". On the early prints this is pretty much as good as the provenance gets as there are very few receipts around, and as Ohmygosh says it is what you should ask the seller for. You can't re-register with POW - the original owner will forever be registered, but this paperwork is the first step in a trail of ownership.
