Several weeks back I spent over an hour trying to secure the Obey "Sunsets" print only to get through to the paypal stage and find when I was diverted back to the Obey site to review my order my print had gone. Gutted.

So last week when I secured my "By Any Means" print after 10 minutes I was delighted. Flew through the process, paid by Paypal and got my confirmation email back. Both the red and gold version were available for me to select. Several hours later when I checked back on their site the Gold (which was my choice) was still available and the red was gone. I thought that was a lot less stressful than my previously experience.

This morning (1 week later) I woke up to an email informing that they had oversubscribed and I would not be getting my numbered print.

This has to be the worst service ever. If they were members of this forum I would be frantically hitting my "neg" button. I am appalled. They have not even operated a 1st come 1st served system as this print was available for many hour after I secured mine.

Could you imagine if this happened to you after you got confirmed Banksy purchase!!!!!!!

Wheen eelus over sold last year he did the decent thing and gave the unlucky ones who missed out on the shat at prints first dibs on the whatulookin ats.
Would have been double gutted if it happened with a banksy buy.

I had to once wait 7 weeks for a print from them..when I emailed them the second time round (4 weeks later) they found my print in the studio because they 'forgot' to post it.

And they take AGES to reply to e-mails, so not the best customer service.

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience as well, they should at least compensate you someway, even if it is just sending you a pack of free stickers.

I've had the same problem before. And to make matters worse the currency exchange rate on the refund was different than the rate for purchase so ended up paying £1.20 for nothing....

In fairness to Obey they deal with a staggering number of sales. And most (I guess 97%) get through fine without any problems. Harveyn the situation that happened to you is odd to say the least.

Talking about being gutted, I got this confirmation from POW last year, and successfully paid, only to be phoned up later that evening to be told it was a mistake and they'd over sold.

Harveyn -- happens all the time with the Obey site, I remember Gbh had some problems last year actually.... they're pretty bad over there.

Sorry to hear you both had trouble (CBL & CR). If I had known that it was this prevalent I would not have started the thread.

Anyway they have offered me an AP for the same price now so all well that ends well. ;D ;D

It happened to me with the POW Morons print. I ordered a Sepia Morons, received a confirmation, and then got an e-mail two weeks later notifying me that there was an error with my order (someone else had also reserved the same number print) and I would not be receiving the print.

Yep I had almost the same issue, got through to the checkout, was allocated a number for my print just en-route to enter my credit details.... CRASH, Bang, Wallop...

yea, tried that when I missed out, I'm sure you can tell what the answer was!!! If only eelus ran POW!! all of us who missed out would have a nice signed banksy by now!!

Anyhoo, still got the Confirmation email, maybe I'll list it on ebay.

In that time US exchange rates had changed so I got back £20 less than I paid. Great....

i had that happen a couple times with obey and lost money from paypal in the process ( you lose cash on the refund). SO i have given up on the obey bun fight with a few exceptions (I wanted that sunset print:) but no luck). It's a crap shoot
