and after all this, more from the LA series, by rob123rob on Aug 8, 2007 22:30:54 GMT 1, I think it's funny that after all the excitement of the past 6 weeks or so, that POW are eventually going to release another Banksy print from the last remaining 3 LA prints, and yes it will be a fight for prints, and yes I will fight too, but I think it might all seem a little anti-climatic after recent shows/releases. Of course, the Adam Neate well-deserved chaos, the FOUND show, Beejoir's Shell Blood, Mantis with two exclusive prints, David Choe, Guy Denning, etc. etc....and then POW has waited all this time only to evenutally offer up yet another of the LA suite. Not saying that I won't still do everything in my power to get the next Banksy, but maybe they've waited a touch too long, and the excitment won't be as massive as they're used to. What do you think?

and after all this, more from the LA series, by rob123rob on Aug 8, 2007 22:36:22 GMT 1, of course, but I mean wouldn't it be so much better if they released something brand new by him, skipped past the 3 LA ones for a bit, and gave us all something to be excited about. And really, when you look at their last couple month's worth of releases, nothing too exciting (except for the two David Choe's and the Faile..IMHO). Not saying they're going down hill, just think they're missing opportunities.

and after all this, more from the LA series, by RBK on Aug 8, 2007 22:41:17 GMT 1, They aren't missing any opportunities at all - there will be madness if they wait longer or had they released them 6 months ago. They are making a wise business decision. However it will drive all us fanatics crazy in the meantime. I agree the whole 'allure/scene' isn't as fun as it once was though and seems kinda robotic with all these releases.
Personally - the Neate show & prints excite me much more than the 3 remaining LA Banksy prints anyways.

YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR MIND. BANKSY IS STILL AND WILL ALWAYS BE GOD IN THIS SCENE. Might sound like a simplistic homer response but thats reality. You think theres more than a dozen people outside of this board who knows anything about 98% of the "other" street artists?

and after all this, more from the LA series, by rob123rob on Aug 8, 2007 22:45:55 GMT 1, the point im trying to make (and maybe not well) is that after waiting all this time, again, for a new Banksy release, and after all the excitement of other recent releases, wouldn't it be amazing to have a new Banksy image to fight over rather than one of three images which have been kicking around for such a long time? I know Banksy is the God of this scene, obviously. Just saying that maybe POWs approach to releasing his prints is a bit much.

Your having a laugh. He certainly won't be shitting himself. He stands to make a fortune out of the show and the art will be fine. He's been working on it for long enough.

I think (in the same way Neate did) he will produce his best work to date. The bar is about to be raised yet again. This is a very exciting time for British art.

Maybe there's a fecking huge legal row between pow and laz and they can't get sold until its resolved.

working in the legal area in the City,,,haven't heard anything to this affect..altho it would explain the fecking joke of delay we're experiencing...
Sure Micallef's work will be amazing, just glad I got some of Neate's recent prints 'cos I've got absolutely no chance of getting the next Banksy or Micallef
