In that case, you may appreciate the Starck Romeo Moon S2 by Flos lamp I've got suspended in those pics.
I had to carry that from Upper St in Islington to my office, then get it on the tube and home.

Doesn't weigh much for... 5 mins....30 mins later, I'd given up all pretence of carrying it normally and was ready to try anything, even balance it on my head native style.....bloody thing.....was even more fun trying to get it on the tube in rush hour. ;D

I've been admiring your house too harveyn, that kind of look is tricky in the house I live in and on my budget, but we're slowly making some progress.

I too really apprieciate good design particularly chairs and lamps, my next lamp purchase will be a black Miss K table lamp by Starck, it'll go in the lounge and replace a cheap Ikea ice cube lamp, it'll look good balancing the black Bourgie lamp by Kartell (in fact Kartell make a few nice things that aren't too expensive). Other design favourites of mine are my home office chair - Herman Miller Aeron, the Blueroom speakers wall mounted in the kitchen extension, and of course all things Apple
