Ebay 'Signed Napalm' Fake?, by jonpud on May 22, 2007 16:54:11 GMT 1, I recently had to sell my signed Napalm, there is currently one up for sale on Ebay. The seller claims that the print has been framed and recently removed to take photo's for listing without glare!
This is utter s**t as the photo's used were mine and the seller has put them to his/her own listing!
I have tried to contact the seller but no reply to date, this coupled with s**t feedback kind of leads me to think he is trying to pull one over on a Banksy fan!
Up to you of course but I would be extremely cautious!!

Ebay 'Signed Napalm' Fake?, by Michael Jacob on May 22, 2007 17:19:14 GMT 1, Since these are your photos, you can report them to ebay. At the very bottom of the listing, there is a "report this item" link. Click on it. You can then highlight that they used your listing (ie images). Hopefully it will cause the listing to be cancelled. Good luck. I was already keeping an eye on it being so cheap.

Ebay 'Signed Napalm' Fake?, by Michael Jacob on May 22, 2007 17:25:10 GMT 1, i agree. its a double edged sword. Ebays thought process was good trying to stop fake people offering second chance offers, but its worked against them with people selling fakes. I wish I knew a solution. Can you imagine getting stungs for a few thousand pounds! Ugh!

Ebay 'Signed Napalm' Fake?, by jonpud on May 22, 2007 17:26:35 GMT 1, I advertised the print on ebay but sold it on a BIN to Andipa Gallery in Knightsbridge. I even hand delivered it cuz no one wanted to insure for full value in the post!
(And I wanted to see the Banksy exhibition they had on) Anyway I doubt someone paid the 9.5k asking price from Andipa and then decided to list on Ebay for poss 6k?1

jonpud,
This is the easiest and most efficient link to file a complaint with eBay:
pages.ebay.co.uk/help/contact_us/_base/LV_1_1UK.html?item=&dsturl=http%3A%2F%2Fpages.ebay.co.uk%2Fhelp%2Fcontact_us%2F_base%2Findex_selection.html&tier0=%5Bobject+Object%5D&tier1=LV_1_1UK&tier2=LV_1_1UK&continue=Continue+%3E
Click, and then click "Email us" near the bottom of the page.
You will be asked to enter (i) the item number you are reporting, (ii) the item number from which picture or text was copied and (iii) a description of what was copied.
As these are your photos, the "seller" is in breach of your copyright. eBay generally acts relatively quickly in these circumstances (although not nearly as fast as when they learn that a seller is trying to circumvent eBay fees).
Good luck, and thanks for the heads-up.

Ebay 'Signed Napalm' Fake?, by jonpud on May 22, 2007 19:06:05 GMT 1, Cheers hungrig, already reported mate. Just noticed that he didn't copy my photo of my issue number as i didn't censor it, he has used the one from the signed grannies listing 130115481623.
Perhaps I am doin him an injustice and he hasn't got the capability of taking and loading his own photo's? However he hasn't replied to 3 emails from me asking genuine ?'s and his feedback is bad AND someone has already complained that he never had an item for sale in the first place!!!! Check his history and make your own mind up! I certainly won't be bidding, even though I want to replace the copy I was forced to sell!!! Good luck y'all!
