Now we have seen POW release two versions of a print in two very different ways, what do you think they will do next time?
Did the online lottery release work best?
Did the POW shop release see too many turn up on ebay the next day?
Will we see just as many of the Green "No Ball Games" up on ebay in the new year?
Will they do it just as an online lottery next time?

Email lottery seems ok to be honest. None of this overseas crap though. Favouring non UK entries is simply not on.

Also you should be informed by email if you havent won. It would save checking your email in desperate hope for days on end. Cant be that hard to set up surely?

I'd really support the online lottery if they could guarantee one email address per person.
I enjoyed the queue experience. TBH i really like them to mix it up, i.e queue, lottery and a bit online?

I don't hate the online system - but I wish I could feel good about everyone truly having one email address. A message saying you did not win would be welcomed as well.....

they're never gonna do it right are they?! Someone will miss out and then it will be the wrong way to do it.

Personally having not got lucky in the lotto i'd say f5 fight is the fairest way, at least it cuts down the chance of having a repeat email addy.

Or, do a signed open release, certainly cut down the flippers. How good would Monkey Parliament be as a first example? very good.

Completely agree with that - they should ask for the billing address at the same time as entering the email.

Signed, time limited release, similar to what Audrey Kawasaki does. In her case, the buy option is available for one hour. One print per household.

dam good idea. Edition size then depends on the number of people who like the image, rather than the number of people who want to make a quick buck.

Release prints like everyone else, but price them to market. $3,000-5,000 seems like the going rate for a signed Banksy print nowadays. Release 500 of them at $4k a pop. That's an easy way to get rid of flippers.

it also gets rid of anyone who cant afford to spend 3-5 g on a print dude. Alot of actual fans of banksys work cant afford that.

Might want to allow a little longer than an hour (how about 12hrs) so everyone can get to a computer if at work etc

There are a lot of fans of every artist who can't afford to purchase the art. Are you suggesting every artist should release tons of work (sometimes garbage) to appease the poorer fans of theirs?

Supply will allways be kept well below demand.

i like the queue at least everyone has a change of getting one if they want one
you like it? then take the days off and do the queue
but lottery slim chances and you end up buying it from secondary market
so queue its nice for 1 colour and the other colour online

or it its just 1 colour then half for the queue and half onlyne

Same old same old. Bit surprised a thread's been started for this in light of some of the discussions already taking place in the NBG threads. No-one's happy when they don't get one. Every system is flawed. They went the route of using 2 different methods this time round and people still complain. I can't really see what else they could possibly do!

And let me ask all who are grumbling that POW don't keep an eye on how many email addresses are registered by each person - how do you know this is the case and why are you jumping to the conclusion that all emails entered are not then filtered in some way? Not saying they def' are, but you don't know they aren't so you shouldn't take it for granted.

I think people should stop moaning about their personal possessions and just appreciate the art! POW couldn't have done much more imo to try and be fair, so if you didn't get a print, just wait until next time and try again.

With POW there needs to be a way to retire an email address from the lottery. I have one extinct email address that is similar to my current one, both registered with POW. A simple sort would suggest that I have two entires in the lottery, but one email is actually inactive.

online release. date, image & details disclosed in advance. random drop. remove print numbers from checkout. allocate prints on a first come, first served basis. issue refunds if oversold. i feel there's a hidden agenda behind recent release methods though so can't see it happening.
