Anyone shed any light on the validity of a diagnostic print?

A print out..........nothing more, worth about 5 quid! But watch someone get stitched up!

I emailed the seller. He said he got 2 of them from a friend who worked at a prestigious contemporary gallery. They were produced as diagnostic prints and are from the original artwork....... I'm not sure myself, surely if diagnostic prints they should be marked as an artists or printers proof.

They're not proofs, they're diagnostic prints that are made that lead to proofs, I'm with beejoir on this, don't bother unless its about £5-10

I guess the original print is a lot of cash, so for someone who'd like the image on their walls... Its even bigger than the final release, and could cost a fair whack to get framed up. But yep it's just a poster. I hope someone doesn't pay too much for it :/
