I have 20 & 21 It's huge, about 27 x 40" It's an awesome print, real attention getter. I'd like to do it justice by hanging it in a imposing central location in a massive house, I just haven't robbed enough banks yet to secure the house.
yes, the 2407 is sweet. I bought it in a group buy of 500 units with some other tech heads, got a very good deal.
Foundation: does that Love Rat look familiar? It's 199/600 ;+\ Hope all is well!

gent รacardi on Dec 31, 2006 1:36:09 GMT 1, I got my Have A Nice Day back from the framer a while ago, but didn't post pics because I wasn't entirely happy with it. After living with it for a while I think I might want to reframe the whole thing. Anyone have any advice/suggestions?
I've learned a very expensive lesson: Don't get things framed just for the sake of framing them. I wanted something more elaborate for my Have A Nice Day, but because I didn't have too much money left, settled for the same ol' mount-and-frame schtick. And now that I want to reframe it to do it justice, I'd have lost about US$200 on this frame job... when I could have just waited a month or so to raise some money for a more decent frame job.
Also, this isn't a Banksy, but just wanted to show off my latest procurement, which I'm absolutely ecstatic about! ;D

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by gbh on Dec 31, 2006 1:49:12 GMT 1, nice stuff bacardi! beejoir (amongst the other goodness) is awesome.
I'm sort of in the same boat re framing. I have a stable of shitty frames I keep and rotate my stuff through whilst saving to get proper frame jobs done for my favs in order of my liking.
next problem after working out a way to fund framing is the need to have larger walls. That's the big problem. Maybe Banksy is now in cahoots with the real estate market, forcing us to buy bigger houses. where does it end?

gent รacardi on Dec 31, 2006 1:56:57 GMT 1, AgentB - The print looks stunning within the border but the frame itself looks a bit wierd. Is it possible to just have a different frame, say black?
Thanks, rattus! Yeah, I'm hating the frame as well, and think that changing just the frame would be the cheapest alternative for me. The framer said that he had to use over-sized mounts and over-sized Perspex due to the dimensions of the print, which cost a lot more... so if I simply changed the frame and retain everything else, it shouldn't cost that much methinks. Still, I was hoping to do something a little more elaborate with the mount, perhaps get a couple more to spice it up. Ah well, when my January paycheck comes in, I'll see what I have to work with

Thanks gbh! I hope Beejoir gets out of arrest soon and continues making great stuff!
As for bigger walls, I'm lucky as the loft I live in has really high ceilings. So perhaps you don't need a bigger house, just taller ceilings? Renovate! Build another floor on your house! ;D Besides, the higher up your prints are, the more child-proof they will be for you after January comes about
(No, not that the prints will do anything to your baby; it's what your baby might do to the prints! ;D)

Show everyone your latest Art Purchase?, by lesroy on Dec 31, 2006 11:11:39 GMT 1, Awesome stuff Mr Bacardi
I really love that LV Child... I really like that image
Can you take a pic from further away of that wall so we can see all those pieces you're hanging on the wall together? I spy a Vettriani Banksy?
[glow=red,2,300]Ps...[/glow] I strongly agree with Bacardi on the framing. Think about each piece and pay the money to have it framed properly. I had 5 pieces framed within a month... all of which were done in simple black aluminium Neilson frames with no mount... out of those I only like 2 of them to this day... I wish I had spent more time and money on the others like I have with the white frames below.
I would rather have the prints in tubes... waiting for me to have enough money to frame them properly, than just framing them any how
Try not to make the same mistake as Bacardi and I

Have you thought about having 3 mounts...
Firstly have about 10mm of black, then 10mm of yellow to match the faces then say 40mm of black or white... then into a frame? Just a thought I was having matey
Or the opposite version... black frame, white mount ??
