EINE, Banksy, DFace - Barnsley Civic - 27th Jan, by Daniel Silk on Jan 18, 2011 13:01:43 GMT 1, www.barnsleycivic.co.uk/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=110:eine&catid=3:gallery&Itemid=5
Ben Eine Few artists can lay claim to having their work on display in the White House, let alone a relatively unheard of street artist, but when David Cameron chose a painting by Ben Eine as a gift for President Obama he became one such artist. Date: Thursday 27 January - Friday 18 March 2011 Venue: The Panorama Time: Mon - Sat 10 - 5, Sun 10 - 4 Free Admission This exhibition presents a selection of 14 of his screen prints and original canvases from the personal collection of Unlimited Design Studio, and features work from 2006 to the present day. Known to few outside the aficionados of the British urban art scene, Eine can be counted as one of the founders of the street art movement, and The Panorama@ The Civic is pleased to present this opportunity to view his art.

Street Art: Contemporary Prints from The V&A Victoria and Albert Museum’s internationally renowned collection of prints, includes names such as Banksy, D*Face, Eine, Miss Tic, Shepard Fairey and Swoon.
Date: Thursday 27 January - Friday 18 March 2011 Venue: The Gallery@ Time: Mon - Sat 10 - 5, Sun 10 - 4 Free Admission This exhibition showcases established and emerging street artists, both British and international, exploring the recurring themes within the genre, such as historic and current subjects, traditional methods of image making and styles familiar from art history.
Street artists produce work in a variety of media, including works on paper such as those seen in this exhibition. Street art prints offer the opportunity to collect and preserve this otherwise ephemeral art form, which now moves easily between the street and the gallery. Street art prints are an interesting development, both within the medium of printmaking and within urban art. Although street artists produce work for exhibitions and galleries, most still continue to work outside the gallery system. The exhibition is accompanied by a book, Street Art: Contemporary Prints (V&A Publishing, 2010).

This beautiful book is the first to look specifically at street art prints - now highly prized in their own right.

EINE, Banksy, DFace - Barnsley Civic - 27th Jan, by eschiff on Jan 19, 2011 11:30:07 GMT 1, this is what i got from the museum...doesn't seem to be a d*face print at all --- I was unable to follow the link you attached, however the book that we are selling to accompany the exhibition is called ‘Street Art Contemporary Prints’. It comes with a Kerry Roper print entitled ‘Time Waits for No Man’ and it is actually the jacket of the book which unfolds into a poster. The books will be available to purchase from the reception at the Civic when the exhibition opens on the 27th January.
I hope this answers your query and hope you will be able to attend the exhibition.
