New OBEY HPM - Flag, by mmmike on Jan 10, 2011 23:27:30 GMT 1, I'm from Canada, not the UK. I find it hilarious how into the flag Americans are. A great American Howard Zinn said something to the effect of, there is no flag large enough to hide the shame of killing millions of Innocent people. The American flag always reminds me of that sentiment. I think it is sad that so many people in the US get more upset with people burning the US flag than they do with their own government's acts of terrorism and illegal acts of aggression around the world.  America must be doing something right - it's the immigration capital of the world...the line for greencards and naturalized citizenships is endless...forget the illegal immigrants population size... so thank goodness everyone's not a fan of America - or else where would they all fit.... BTW - I believe the Canadian government enjoys the protection the American government provides it's country and it's people (including my aunts, uncles and cousins who reside there)...
Don't get me wrong there are many great Americans like Noam Chomsky for example who is the best example of an ethical person we have.
There are also lots of really bad governments out there. Lots of bad stuff in the world not directly a result of the atrocities committed by the US. However a lot of the immigration is due to the US Fing up the rest of the world. The country has been build on the blood of millions both domestically and internationally, through direct conflict and economic warfare.
As for the US protecting Canada... From what? The only thing to fear these days are the US military and its many self created enemies.
