Banksy Toxic Rat , by chinorlz on Jan 21, 2011 16:41:08 GMT 1, Jesus... $10k!
Comparing it to documented Banksy toxic rat stencils though it does look legit. Some subtle differences between Banksy's and the stencil available for download online.
Are there images of other purported Banksy pieces that showed up in LA around the time of the ETTGS premiere?

10k not so much looks like he just hit the first bid they got $3000.
Big risk for the buyer, but could be a steal, probably will never have prov though.
It had been relisted several times when the seller was asking 15k+

Banksy Toxic Rat , by chinorlz on Jan 21, 2011 17:34:14 GMT 1, True. Kept looking at it and kept seeing if I could convince myself that it's legit haha. Would certainly be something neat to have around the house. Add the green "spilled" paint on the floor and it would look ace.
All these stencilled street signs up on ebay though make me want to cut out some stencils and just plaster them up around here and see if the same thing happens with it.

Banksy Toxic Rat , by chinorlz on Jan 21, 2011 18:25:11 GMT 1, I've been trying to see what Banksy pieces showed up in LA during that time frame. Short of the large pieces (as photod by a member here) I can't find anything else documented either.
Authentication of such things would be essentially impossible though so it just is what it is I suppose.
Since Banks has done multiple rats throughout the London area using the same stencil, I'd imagine it was possible the same could have been done in LA but certainly no confirmation of such can be had.
Leads me to ask about members on here with stencils on street signs (with also way too many listed on ebay) and how they've determined them to be real or fake without PC involvement.
