Take your own images and don't sell gifts - that is not the point of sending people free artwork and it is quite disrespectful.

Apart from that it is up to you what you do wit your property.

Its just a warning about using other peoples images in auctions. We are not associated with any bay auctions so please do not use the images that we have taken in the listings.

Haha. I suppose jboy owns the copyright to the Marilyn Monroe image, and the original space hopper pic. I always laugh whenever the word copyright is used by someone using Photoshop to manipulate images that already exist, and then claiming them to be there own.

jus to clarify.. if its your property (i.e you bought it) of course it is up to you and feel free to do as you wish, sell it, set fire to it, use it as a paper plane.. but for god sake do not sell prints that you pleaded for us to send out for free... or enter the competition 10 times and then kick up a fuss when we see our images are also being used on an ebay auction.

for one its totally unfair on the 200 people that enter the draws and could have won a print to put on the wall.

lets not speak about this anymore... its just our opinion.

One of the reasons why the winners get asked to send us back up emails is so we can track where things are going

if you ask permission its not an issue

SO , when you send out a PRIZE to a COMPETITION WINNER do you consider that to then be their property? is there a conditional agreement in place which means you retain ownership of all PRIZES you send out?

Why was the use of this photo not an issue with you when the listing was first pointed out , but only became an issue now ? and is this what all the fuss is about . someone using your photo ? or is there something else going on here we should know about?

the facts as i see it - someone listed a print they won on ebay , someone else paid £51 for that print on ebay , and then you go all weird on the forum about the listing using your photo? whats going on ?

im not arguing about it. thats just how it is from our perspective.

if our images are used in listings without permission, we will probably try and get the listing removed. There is a lot of complications involved here which i don't really want to go into

Personally i think if you're listing something on ebay you should take 5 mins out and take your own photo of it anyways. Its just laziness not to. Always annoys me when i see stock images taken from POW to flip POW prints, don't see why it should be any different for Jboy.

By the way my gift is great mate, i like it alot and it wont be going anywhere, but if it was, i'd take me own pics of it cos i'm not a lazy bugger.
