Yeah - i was feeling really disillusioned by reading all the talk about the new print - the endless hype beforehand, the chaos of the queue, and i was questionning whether i would want one on the wall even if i won.
Of course i decided I would, but i'm not sure why - have I got caught up in the hype? Is it a status symbol?
The image itself means nothing to me as i've not seen the street piece - back in the day i'd see banksys all over Bristol and then eventually found that i could buy prints just off Park Row. As a student I couldn't afford all that I wanted (i've even got emails with Banksy's agents at the time talking about originals but they were well out of my league) but I had a couple on the wall and the joy of seeing his work on the street all the time.
Anyway, it prompted me to go looking at my old pictures and I thought i'd post some here - hoping to get a reaction like yours.
