But when you see that Gee first appeared on POW prints were Β£25, can I ask what has happened in his/her life to make their prints now worth or sellable for Β£175? That seems to be a big jump. Or is it becouse they are being sold on POW that they command that price?

Because its good, she is a ledgend and her work at Β£25 was vastly underpriced / underrated, then again at the same time her prints were Β£25, Banksy's were Β£65 and hewletts were Β£50.... the times that are a changing. I'd say that Β£175 for this piece by an established and respected artiste is alot more sensible than some of the pieces offered on here by much newer and unheard of ( apart from this forum) artists.. |

I've never really taken to Gee's stuff in the past but got to admit i like this one

Yes but to be fair if it wasnt for the rallying of this forum over the last 6 months a lot of her work would never have sold on POW. So your assumption that her work went on sale with Bansky and Hewlett for 2002 prices may be correct, but she never sold. So again I ask what has she done since then to push to 'established' artist criteria..? I do agree that the prices of some of the artists on this forum go for over and above resumable, but I think that says more about some of the punters on this forum looking for the next big thing than the art itself.
