Crazy Jake πΊπΈ Michael Jacob, by Michael Jacob on Jan 29, 2008 19:49:46 GMT 1, Thanks for the input. I might have to put this one to rest. As for GVDs comment, I was looking into a different background, the dessert is a good idea. Now you see why I didnt go right to press.
Thanks again. CJ

Got to agree with that... I regretted what I said a little after thinking it probably sounded more like something stateofthefart would post, so sorry CJ if it sounded too negatively loaded but at the same time, good man for the way you took it.

Crazy Jake πΊπΈ Michael Jacob, by BK83 on Jan 30, 2008 1:06:43 GMT 1, CJ -- I think you rush in to things a little too quickly bud. The best art/artists put time and effort into their work or at the very least developing a style of work. From what I have seen of your work -- it often looks quickly created and even more quickly executed, it may be out of naivety in your own individual artistic process, it may be out of sheer laziness and thinking "it's done enough", I dont know. But I do know that if you continue at this rate it will become very hard to take your art/artistic process seriously.
Also, about the name - CraZy Jake - It sounds like you're selling used cars! not art!

Crazy Jake πΊπΈ Michael Jacob, by Michael Jacob on Jan 30, 2008 4:46:07 GMT 1, fartofthestate EXACTLY! Thats what I did on my first two prints. I guess you can see why I didnt print this one. I had something to say (pissed at bush), and Im glad I did the artwork. As many have pointed out, its overdone, and I agree. At least I put onto paper what I was thinking. Its time to move on to the next topic. Ive been working on my happy meal idea for quite some time, I hope the results are better recieved.

Crazy Jake πΊπΈ Michael Jacob, by Michael Jacob on Mar 12, 2008 14:38:30 GMT 1, Ok, Ive got a lame question. Whats the best way to paste up pasters. Do you use wallpaper paste (i also saw somewhere where they mentioned homemade flour paste)? I want to put some up on city streets, but dont want to do irreversible damage. Any help is appreciated.
Thanks. Crazy jake

Crazy Jake πΊπΈ Michael Jacob, by orangematt on Mar 12, 2008 15:04:19 GMT 1, Dont know if you have come across Posterchild !! he is relentless in hitting the street .. some amazing stuff , worth checking out ..
www.bladediary.com/
and in his archive ( follow link ) you will find starting at december 2006 a tutorial on how he does his paste ups - step by step
www.bladediary.com/archive.pl
My advice in summary though is use wallpaper paste ( the stuff without fungicide in it ! ) and paste the wall .. hang your paste up - then re - paste over the whole thing to secure it and help it last longer

Crazy Jake πΊπΈ Michael Jacob, by m@san on Mar 12, 2008 15:28:14 GMT 1, Another tip : get a thick plastic watertight rubble sack and put this inside a shoulder bag or carrier bag to hold your paste. You'll look a lot less conspicuous than carrying a bucket of paste around the streets.
