There new album Kveikur is the muts nuts. I'm a massive fan and although I'm a Londoner and can't understand a f..cking word the group sing about, it just doesn't matter. They transcend a need to understand. Previous albums are better but this is a new direction. Worth a listen.

Will check it out I wouldn't worry about the language it's either Icelandic or made up language..
hopelandic (vonlenska in icelandic) is the 'invented language' in which jรณnsi sings before lyrics are written to the vocals. it's of course not an actual language by definition (no vocabulary, grammar, etc.), it's rather a form of gibberish vocals that fits to the music and acts as another instrument. jรณnsi likens it with what singers sometimes do when they've decided on the melody but haven't written the lyrics yet. many languages were considered to be used on ( ), including english, but they decided on hopelandic. hopelandic (vonlenska) got its name from first song which jรณnsi sang it on, hope (von). tracks 7-9 on takk are in hopelandic.

Yes I am English. I've been seeing a Polish girl for a few months so thought I'd do it as its getting more serious and I'm going over to Warsaw to meet her folks in September so a few phrases would be nice.
I've been studying it for about a month now so I've picked up some of it but it's a bloody hard language to learn!

i have been poland loads of times now, is lovely place my wifes family live near rzeszow

Well at the moment I'm not even going to bother trying to learn to read or write it and am just interested in speaking it as the spelling is so alien to me it looks nothing like how the word is said!
The hardest thing I found (and maybe you found this too) is just actually making some of the sounds in the language come out of my mouth! There are certain words that even though I know them I just can't physically say it!! A very tough language that's for sure
