thanks ! This is a piece I have donated for the Tribute exhibition to our late friend Michel Longhi who left us too early. Michel photographed street art in Paris for years and we all loved him. His daughter is Samantha, the author of the book "Stencil history X" and C215's girlfriend. All the benefit from the sales at this show will directly go to Michel's wife and family.

which one, Snakes ? The boots ?
I intend to paint an edition of originals of the boots on paper (probably edition of 15, maybe 20, size about 60 x 50 cm) that will be available thru Opus Underground this summer.
I'm not sure yet about the bird or not, and am also hesitating between plain white paper, brown wrapping paper, or hand-stained white paper...
suggestions ?

looking great as usual jef! really liking the boots! i recon you should go for brown or hand stained paper, white might look too clean. actually i recon hand stained!

I don't think i want to make a print, this time. I'd really like to paint a limited edition of originals.
But the idea of maps is interesting, though too "rich" a background might "kill" the stencil...

This one I like very much and with the bird in it for sure as for me it shows the resilience of nature and how it constantly adapts to change.

Cannes, France.

The film won the "Rail d'Or" at the SIC (semaine internationale de la critique) at the Cannes Festival 2008.
Since 1995, a group of cinephiles railwaymen attends Critics’ Week screenings and awards the Grand Rail d’Or for best feature film and the Petit Rail d’Or for best short film.
It means Nicolas (the director) will get one more35mm copy of the film for free.
The movie is now being shown in Corsica.
I'll post a reminder when it's shown on arte TV (june 18th)

Thanks... The "guy" is myself ! this is a selfportrait, but my aim wasn't to be recognized, only that it was easier and quicker to take a photo in front of the mirror than find a model ! I initially cut that stencil for my solo show in London. They were called "blurting out the red truth", "the green truth", "the orange truth" and the "purple truth"... I re-painted a second "purple" one and I painted that one ("the test of life") with all the handwritten words for the group show in Denver, colorado. The "red" and "orange" ones were sold at my solo show in Lille. So only the green and the 2 purple ones are still available. I had initially said that I would go up to 5 canvases in each colour but the stencil is already quite damaged, so I don't think there will be any more pieces painted with it unless I re-cut it and I don't think I will. If I recut it it would be in a much bigger size, It might be cool to have a huge verson of it (2 x 2 m ?)...
I also have some other similar selfportraits ready to be cut.
