Stella Im Hultberg π°π· Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale, by Friendly Ghost on Jun 22, 2007 5:18:16 GMT 1, Looks like Stella Im Hultberg is shutting down her online store in order to focus more on her painting... There are just a few prints left that aren't yet sold out--and she says that she won't be reprinting any of these pieces, so that'll be it for them.
momomoogie.com/
On the plus side, it does sound like she'll still have limited edition prints occasionally available through art-star...
Here's her message:
*** SHOP IS CLOSING SOON!!! ***
i've decided to close the shop in a couple days (!!), after much consideration. not because it's not doing well, but because it's grown too much (thanks to you all) beyond my ability to handle alongside my painting! BUT i'll still be selling prints through other venues, which i'll post more about via my blog, my website news page, or newsletters.
thank you so much for all the support all this time!!! i couldn't have done it without you all!!!
A R T . P R I N T S 80lb. matte card stock digital reproduction of original art by stella im hultberg. [open-end limited edition. not numbered, but finite amount, as the once-retired prints won't be reprinted.]
** these prints below are the absolute last of these prints!! they won't be re-printed after the shop closes. only few of each left, unless marked sold out!

Stella Im Hultberg π°π· Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale, by Friendly Ghost on Jun 22, 2007 22:45:11 GMT 1, There were actually very few left even before it was posted here and on the other site (are we allowed to say its name again?)... so I don't know if we can chalk this up to forum magic.
Probably more just a case of a strong fan following and low prices, baited with the extra lure of a little newly-created scarcity.

Stella Im Hultberg π°π· Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale, by bored with screen names on Jun 22, 2007 23:24:58 GMT 1, It's been posted quite a few places actually. OMGposters.com, the kidrobot boards, here, and I'm sure some other art boards. Plus people that subscribe to her journal also must have seen word. That's not to say this board doesn't have a large amount of power as far as exposure

Stella Im Hultberg π°π· Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale, by RBK on Aug 8, 2007 4:21:48 GMT 1, Below is a picture of our 'I'd Fly The River' framed up. We have just one of this particular print left if anyone is interested - as it was never advertised on the site and only offered to existing customers.
Most are indeed on the smaller size. However 'Into The Wind' and 'Bruised' are significantly larger than all her other prints to date. Check out www.fycgallery.com if you want to see what else we have available. Cheers!

Stella Im Hultberg π°π· Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale, by mp on Aug 8, 2007 8:08:41 GMT 1, I saw her Fight Club themed portrait of Helena Bonham Carter in the Crazy 4 Cult show at Gallery 1988. Absolutely beautiful and caused me to pick up a couple of her prints. Love them, think she is definitely on the rise.

Stella Im Hultberg π°π· Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale, by finsburyparkranger on Aug 8, 2007 11:52:30 GMT 1, This one just came out today and is being sold through Gallery 1988 San Francisco. Edition of 50...signed and numbered...$125 (until they hit the secondary market). But you have to call or email to order. It's really beautiful.
Ok I try never to be too critical of people's work whist preferring to concentrate on being positive about the art i love but on this issue I can't stay silent. Isn't this art exactly the opposite what this forum is about? Hasn't it got a cheesy 1980's perfume bottle aroma? Isn't it something your nan would love on her wall? Does it say anything profound and isn't it artistically unsurprising? Isn't this type of art exactly what the art of rebellion is not? I must admit I've got a soft spot for city girl 150, Candice Tripp and even Lucy Mclauchlan but for me this has just stepped over the mark into Woolworth's slosh. Am a missing something? Is there a history or deeper meaning which justifies this unusual banal 80's mediocrity?

I used to visit this place for all matters relating to banksy. WTF happened? It seems to be no more than a hotch potch of confused wannabe art collectors and a paste board for artworks that fall into the hobbyist catagory.

Stella Im Hultberg π°π· Paintings β’ Print Release β’ For Sale, by romanywg on Aug 8, 2007 13:37:40 GMT 1, I think the great thing about this forum is the rich diversity of art it covers. You don't have to like it all and debate is good and mass debate is even better.... I know, I'll get my coat. If it was just about 'Street art' we would know less about Antony Micallef, Guy Denning, Ian Francis...all fine artists. Stella Im Hultberg, Audrey Kawasaki, Ami Sol, Brian Taylor.....all illustrators and many other talented artists. I can see what you're going with your comments but she actually pushes a couple of my buttons.
