David Choe - City Girl Photos, by tadghostal on Jul 14, 2007 1:23:49 GMT 1, First impressions of this print; WOW.
Incredibly fine detail. Doodles that appear to have been done using a fine tipped mechanical pencil are crisp and clear. You can see wood-grain from the panel the piece was painted on, and it gives the appearance of the painted original. Little bits of collage in her hair, and in the upper right corner include scaps of newspaper that also have been doodled on. Maybe I'll have to give giclee a second chance if this is the product. I had expected to see pixelation, and that is not the case at all. Resolution is fine enough that even under close examination, I can't tell this has been "printed." The finish is subtle, matte, and that helps to draw out the detail. Truly outstanding.
To everybody lucky enough to have scored one of these prints, congratulations. It is a knockout.
SCORE!

My first giclee and I was stunned! not at all what I expected. I thought it would be a little shiny and more like a photo but its not at all. Very Nice paper!

I'm the opposite, my first Giclee, and truly dissappointed. Glad I didn't pay 4k for one.

David Choe - City Girl Photos, by Photoxtc on Jul 14, 2007 8:29:25 GMT 1, I'm sure a lot of people on here will be happy to hear you are disappointed, I know many members would be more than happy to take it off your hands.... I on the other hand really like this print and there is so much detail and so much action, you can really get lost in this piece...

It's the seller I bought my Paved with Gold from, she offered it me but I've got one so passed her details on to a few people but no one was prepared to meet her asking price for it so I guess it's gone on ebay... she was asking Β£550 I think
It's a shame in a way, I offered her good prices for both Tea Drinker and Calm Fear but they were too low... bought elsewhere in the end
