Thanks for the heads-up. This is the first Obey I wanted ever! (Fairly expensive shipping to UK though) Something special with one street artist "doing" another street artist.

just wait till the UPS guy comes to the door and asks for another £20 to cover customs fees. obey seriously needs to rethink his international shipping, we're getting screwed over pretty badly at the moment.

on that note... i recently received an invoice from UPS asking me to pay the customs fees on a print sent from obey as a replacement - anyone know if they are they are right in doing that, or can i dispute it?

Been wanting this but decided not to... really shit exchange rate + $30 shipping, + a highly likely customs raping+ other cirumstances this week mean i'm out.... no doubt there will be plenty on ebay should I change my mind...there are 450 of them after all.

Of course, having an original Haring canvas on the wall does sway my decision slightly

FYI: the original photo this print is based on is on the back cover of the Keith Haring book by Taschen, whihc you can pick up for about a fiver.. its a great photo and should make a really great print in person.

It is. The new version just seems too similar to the Obey store one to warrant it as a new colourway IMHO. Or at least they should have announced the new colourway before they sold the original 450.

It's funny how people tend to like their prints a bit more once the edition has sold out. Right?

people make a decision to buy a print based on image, price, edition size etc.
if another edition of the same image is to be released without prior notice, it's simply a round house marketing kick to the face.

I can understand some may say only flippers would complain about things like this, but for me it's more the principle really. And if they announced both colourways at the beginning, people would have had the chance to decide which one they like more and buy (if they choose to) the one they prefer.

When buying prints, you aren't really paying for the cost of the production, but some sort of exclusivity, so it's fair to say they should have been more open with it. This is a low-price print, so no one is going to complain too much, but if imagine they release a slightly different colourway of the recent Parla prints, I think we would hear a lot of complain.

I purchased one this evening but if they said only 450 a few days ago and it sold out - and than released another 450 than that's uncool -
