Best/cheapest way to send a print to the USA?, by spirit on Mar 23, 2010 11:22:45 GMT 1, I'm sure this has been asked many times before but just wondering what the best way to send a print with a value of around ยฃ300 to the US is.
Ideally I am looking for a service that is tracked, signed for and insured for loss and damage. Is royal mail international signed for the way to go?
thanks

You then have a motherf*cka of a fight to get compensation, and they will try to pay out only the original cost price- not the current market value /sale value I speak from experience here.

Did you get market value? I have a claim under review, due to find out beginning of April.
Spirit - have you tried collectmyparcel.com? I sent something via them (DHL) insured/tracked. I was quoted ยฃ47 before insurance with Royal Mail. They charged me ยฃ27 all in. You need to know the dimensions/weight of parcel and they collect from you.
Defo recommend.

Best/cheapest way to send a print to the USA?, by Poppy Sunshine on Mar 23, 2010 13:27:33 GMT 1, It is well known that the Royal Mail night shift have an excellent football team. They practise by kicking the crap out of everything through the long dark hours.
From another experienced shipper. !!
They are probably the easiest to deal with but make sure you double tube and bomb proof everything.
DHL and some of the other carriers are very good as they tend to grab their staff by the nuts if they mistreat parcels. Book through a third party company like Interparcel or similar as it is usually cheaper than booking direct.
