First off... I know 'it's worth as much as someone is willing to pay'.

But I wanted to see if I could find a consensus (or at least a ballpark) of what buyers should expect to pay for an *unsigned* GWB now-a-days?

I haven't been able to find a whole lot in recent history - which probably means these are in the hands of collectors / on walls - which is a good thing.

So, as a buyer what should my expectations be? £1500? £2000? £3000? I've been searching for a bit, and seen some up over £5000, so I figured I'd hand this one over to the experts (yeah, you guys) for a better read on the climate.

Expressobeans is a good source for what has sold recently and there is also a site called artnet.com that has some very useful info about art sold in the past few years.

Maybe for Obey prints EB is a good resource... But not for Banksy - well at least nothing pre-2008.

ArtNet might not be a bad idea. But I figured there were collectors over here that may be keeping more detailed notes.

In the last year, i have seen them in galleries for between £3k-5k (unsigned). And was told that signed ones go for up to £10k. The problem is that this is an earlier piece, and also its one of the ones that girlfriends / wives like (for some reason they seem to prefer it to "i fought the law"...etc).
It's an awesome print (he says, looking at his own) :-) however, i got mine only after getting a gallery to search around for one for a while.

Yeah... Signed is out of my realistic budget unless I prefer hanging it on the wall rather then driving around town. In any case, I figured £10K+ for it, and completely understand the logic.

But unsigned is what I am searching for - and like a few commenter pointed out. Prices are really all over the board.
