I'm surprised this did not receive more attention (at least looking at the few comments...).

In my opinion VHILS is by far one of the best artists coming out from this scene and, unlike many others, with a very personal style, immediately recongnizable.

The artwork is small but signed, numbered and very affordable (although the shipping being quite expensive...)

The image seems to me better than some others by him.

well considering what most semi-relevant artists charge now for a print, don't think the price was that crazy. I'm also mindblown as to how Vhils seems to be releasing a lot of editions, of considerable size, and nothing seems to be hitting the secondary market. When is the last time you saw a Vhils print beig sold here? Ebay? Crazy, that being said, I'm still waiting for the right piece.

Vhils seems to be a lot popular between portuguese collectors.. Even law firms, banks, musicians, actors, etc. here wants a Vhils artwork now.
Plus, i think that Vhils attracts a different kind of collectors and flippers don´t look at his artwork and see a instant profit on it (fortunately).

Similar to Add Fuel and a few other Portuguese artists I think their time will come.  Glad it has not just yet as I've been able to pick up some of their works recently, in particular Add Fuel.  hoping to get a commission with him as well, something that is hard to do once too big.

I saw some of Vhils' street work when I was in Portugal in 2015, and I thought it was just brilliant. He has a very unusual technique, he gets fantastic results, and I'd love to have something that brings that style into my home. But over the last few years I haven't seen anything that has convinced me he has successfully achieved that. If he did something along the lines of the To Have Or To Be pieces on wood that he did with POW in 2010 or the Fading Remains etched wood things he did the following year I'd be pretty excited, but his releases seem to be becoming less involved and less interesting. It seemed that he pretty much always used inks and acid to add texture to his prints, but this latest print is a straightforward lithograph. And I think his work needs to be texturally interesting, because the subject itself isn't wildly exciting. All of this sounds a bit critical; I'm a big fan, but I'm biding my time and waiting for the right thing.

The Ap's priced at 1200€ were sold out in minutes and the standard edition, in less than one hour. I also think his urban artwork is difficult to reproduce on a print because needs to be texturized, but his paper works on the streets are lovely and this image has some perspective itself. I'm pretty sure it would look beautiful in the flesh, once framed.

I feel the need to scratch my Vhils itch. I want something with extensive hand-finishing, possibly a billboard piece depending on price. The version of To Have or to Be on wood would be awesome, but I'm open to suggestion. In short, let me know what you've got.

In the meantime, I have a To Have or to Be from the recent POW sale available at cost plus postage (or London handover). It has the tiniest little ding in the bottom left corner (about 1mm wide) and is otherwise perfect.

I managed to get one myself and can say this is really a beauty.
In my opinion even better than many of the hand-finished editions.

Although his best ones are some of the lithos published by underdogs and HOCA.

By the way, don't know if that's true (although I have no reason to believe the contrary...), POW told me they dropped just three of these in the closing sale.
